This is a great pair of drop-ins Whether it replaces a Jaguar SS or Squier VM. I had a problem with the Jazz/Bridge pickup in the first set I owned. I hadn't tested it until I connected it all. As a lesson learned, make sure the components are tested on multiple platforms It is advisable to meter the site before The first set of pickups was returned to Amazon, while the second set worked perfectly! (See pictures for the readings on the bad and good pickups, bad pickup still has foam stuck to it)
These pickups look great, and sound even better. Thanks to these pickups, my bass has really come to life! Although the stock Precision pickup was good, the Seymour Duncan pickup is far superior! It's common for Jazz pickups to be poor on basses in this category, and are only useful to accent the P pickup with some color. Introducing quarter pounders! Now I can solo either pickup or get a terrific blend with the quarter pounders!.
This book is highly Two of my Jaguar bass guitars came with these monsters. It's a Fender Jaguar with passive electronics from Emerson Custom, a Hipshot Kickass bridge, and Rotosound 77 magnetic pickups. A Squier Jaguar bass upgraded with a Hip shot Kickass bridge, flatomes, a Bartolini 918 active/passive preamp and these pups made it sound like a beast. I love it, and it's now my favorite bass. Bass is an amazing instrument, and I can't get enough of playing it. Second on my list of favorite bass instruments. In addition, I want to add that I have some high end basses and some American Fender basses, but these upgraded tone monsters are my "go to" basses and the Quarter Pounders have much to do with this.
Previously, I had only used Fender pickups. This is the first time I used Seymour Duncan pickups. There was a little bit of a problem with jazz pickup. The P pickups sound great, but every time my finger would hit a pole piece on pickups for the strings E and A, or if I simply touched a pole piece, I heard them crackle and buzz throughout Over the D and G strings, the pickup did not appear to behave the same. The studio version is certainly not usable. On Monday, I'll send back the pickups. I can only hope that it was a quality control issue.
There is a hot output from them. Using flatwound strings, I attached these to a Yamaha PJ entry level bass. In fact, they add so much attack and depth that they sound more like round wounds. The output is impressive, it's noticeable that they produce a lot more than the stock Yamaha pickups they replaced, and they're as powerful as two of those stock pickups put together. instructions sound like they only refer to Line 6 POD-type software The following two cabinet effects are available. They have satisfied me quite a bit. Depending on how high you want to set the springs, the foam 'springs' they come with are not quite thick enough. This has been mentioned by some others as well. Apparently one of the reviewers complained that they weren't springs but foam. As it happens, filling pickup pockets with foam is common practice for the professionals, so that is certainly not a bad thing.
They look great in a squire Jaguar bass (it is my first bass and I love it tremendously, but the J pickup needed a boost and upgrading from the factory one), but I love the sound and I replaced the pots as well (it was an easy installation). Several soldering operations will need to be done, so ensure that you have the correct tools, such as flux and.
It is a pair of pickups I installed on a custom Squire Jaguar bass I was The Seymour Duncan QP pickups literally took the tonality to another level. Wow! They'll take your playing to the next level. This book is highly It's hard to imagine a guitar pickup that's worse than a Seymour Duncan, these are off the charts good! I hope you all enjoy good music!.
After replacing the stock active pickup system with a passive system focused on these, the Ibanez sounds as if it were a completely The more I play since I installed these, the more I enjoy it. There is one disappointment about these, however the plastic covers that come with them are cheap. In general, it detracts from the impression of quality. I didn't take off a star since it does not affect the way the sounds sound.
It's hard to measure how much an improved bass will improve with these pickups like it did with my 20-inch bass P Special made in America for over a year.
