Questions & Answers

What is the effectiveness of this product?

In 1972, it was the highlight of my life I hear a brand new bass. You are right, it does work!

In terms of coil dimensions, how big are they? What size pickups do you have in your listing? It says 11 inches, but I don't imagine that's what you have. ?

They fit perfectly on my precision bass and sound great. I don't have the bass anymore so I can't assess the size, but I assume they are the standard size.

To go with these pickups, what kind of potentiometers should I use?

The typical price of these types of pickups is 250K.

My search has finally led me to Precision pickups
5/5

I have learned a lot about Precision Bass pickups with my experience. I have realized that the natural character and voicing of the bass will greatly influence whether a specific pickup will work for you or not. I have a very aggressive upper mid thing going on with my Ashe Precision. Over the past two decades, I've tried or owned at least seven pickup sets, and I think the PV 63's are probably the most balanced with my bass' baked-in-tune sound The sound of it. It was a mistake that I made over and over again to try and find a pickup that would attenuate or soften In the end, the Fender PV 63 was the most effective because it boosted the bass and lower midrange so that they could compete with its top-end By snapping rather than scooping, you can get It is the best sound I have heard from my Precision since I bought it 20 years Balancing balance and being ballsy at the same time. It is obviously possible for your results to differ. This is worth a look if you have a dark bass that already has a lot of booty. I've tried a lot of Precision pickups and these are easily my favorite. They are good with Fender flats, Nickel Lo-Fi, and any other flats you would like The riders and the pressure wounds of the GHS. I've been blown away by each of them. It is a practice of mine to try a few wiring harnesses with each new pickup using gator clips and button crimps before soldering them. PV63s prefer AVRI style harnesses with 250k pots and a 0. They appeared to favor AVRI '57 style cables as well. I like a 68uf cap, but it is just my personal preference.

This is the sound of Precision Bass
5/5

Let me begin by saying I do not know why I have been asked to take part in this project The thickness of the pickup is a good indicator of durability. Do you know what the sound thickness is? My Fender MIM Mustang bass came with a standard pickup, so I purchased this pickup to replace it. I do not have the size of hands to fit a full-size As a result, I play a short scale bass with a characteristic "hollow" is the closest I'm going to get to the classic Fender Precision sound because it counteracts the hollowness. Bass does not sit well in a mix unless it is recorded well.

Wow! I am completely blown away! I found the exact tone I was looking for. 'Pure Vintage' and extremely articulate all at once. Plays like a dream in a mix. The satisfaction rate is 100%.

I am glad I bought these pickups as they replaced my pure vintage 58 pickups
5/5

The 63s are a direct replacement, and include metal plates under the pickups. They sound amazing, and I am glad I purchased them.

I really like the upgrade
5/5

Someone had replaced the pickups on my 1975 Oly White P Bass with some Seymour Duncans when I bought it. After I bought these I had a buddy of mine put them in because I didn't like the sound. I like the deep, smooth tone with flats like I want in a good P. An excellent upgrade! I highly recommend it!.

I just had these installed professionally by a guitar technician
5/5

In my 2015 Fender MIM P-90, I had those professionally installed by a guitar tech You're playing bass. You can tell the difference between these and the stock pickups! Now it really sounds like a P-90 The bass should have improved! This will boost the bottom line significantly.

The punch was excellent, and the delivery was smooth and articulate
5/5

There is such a big difference, aside from the overall punch, between this pickup and the stock pickups. It is very clear that the tone has been rolled all the way down. It sounded as if the notes were muddy mush before with the tone rolled off. A voice so clean has been heard now.
TIRED of your picks, but you have made a great investment- I am up.
