The pre-existing notes will work with the active pre-existing notes.

There is a problem with my Aguilar dcn d2 they are too long they do not fit my bass the correct one is the dcb d4 what can we do?

In my case, the pickups were too high in my case as well. In my drill press, I used a milling bit to mill out the pickup cutout by three centimeters. As a result, the new pickups fit well and sound much better than the old ones.

These pickups are great

I used them with a carvin 6 string bass, but I ended up selling them since they diddn't make it across all six strings - but they are a great pick up that sounds fantastic. In any case, this pickup is designed for use with five strings. It is the same set as that used by Janek Gwizdala and Felix Pastirous, among others, who work in fodera. These pickups are great.
