Questions & Answers

Do you know the 250 and the 500 pot in the stacked pots?

On the 500K pot, the top lugs (closest to the mounting panel/pickguard) are the larger lugs. These are the 250K lugs at the bottom. A small knob at the top (inner concentric) will control 250K, and a larger knob at the bottom (outer concentric) will control A digital ohmmeter is an excellent way to ensure that your wiring is in good order.

In relation to the pickguard length, how far does this extend below the guard ?

Using a lock washer, I find it extends about one inch below the control plate.

Are you referring to an electric bass guitar or a ?

This 500/250k was made for the Jazz Bass, but I use them for any 500/250 configuration where I want to save some room, whether I'm building my own guitar or converting one.

Can I wire this up in any other way? What has a capacitor got to do with it? I am just learning how to use it and having trouble finding a diagram I can use. ?

Your use of it will determine how well it works. There must be caps on the tone knob if it's to be used as one! As for blending or two volume at the same time, no. To find a wiring diagram for whatever your set up is, Google "wiring diagram" such as 2j bass A concentric tone is equal to two volumes

I like what you're saying
4/5

Although they did not accidentally leave out the nut and washer, they did put them in the photo. There are no such places. (You know what kind of cheap is. It isn't possible to include a in this) can't. How many cents are there in a penny? This is the same size as a 1/4 input jack (or any other CTS or non-CTS plug sized 3/8 x 32 (corresponding to the imported nut m9). It will be used for imports). Except if you are starting from scratch, it wouldn't be a problem. There is a shortage of parts in your bin. (As if you guessed it. Yes, that's right. He is (pointing to Not exactly when you are reading this, but probably not when you are. It turns out that I never Okay, I'm just being cynical).

There were better measurements to be made
4/5

To go along with the knobs, I ordered some based on the dimensions. I made the wrong decision because the knobs were incredibly large and would not fit This item was too tall, and had holes in its center that were too large for a snug Are there any other things you hope CTS will do for you?.

This is a defective pot
3/5

There was something wrong with the pot I received. The pot should be a 250K/500K, which usually works within 10% of specs, but I put the one I received on my multimeter and it still reads a lot less than that It came out to 180K/390K on the meter. Therefore, I sent it back so I could get Sadly, the CTS pot turned out to be very disappointing.

I have no complaints about the pot
3/5

The shaft, however, does not seem to be going anywhere. I have no complaints about the pot. However, the shaft I received appears to be a 6mm shaft, when I expected an 8mm shaft. There are dozens of concentric pot knobs in my collection. 8mm is all there is. To allow the knob to sit evenly on the shaft, a small metal shim had to be wedged inside the knob. What kind of guitar potentiometer is that and how is NOWHERE in the product listing disclosed that it is a 6mm shaft? How is that possible? It is a failure from the seller.

It is a classic, but the washers should also be included
4/5

The operation is smooth across the full volume range, but they do not include washers to place under the nuts. That is why I gave them four stars rather than.
