All the components were excellent quality. It is crucial to have paper in oil capacitors. After rewiring my bass to try to fix the issue I found out it was the old ceramic tone capacitor that was causing the problem. Apparently there was nothing wrong with the other components. So I simply replaced it with the one with paper in oil from this kit and my desk is functioning properly again. For now, I have put the rest of the pieces away in case I need them down the line. The parts themselves and the wiring diagram that they included were of high quality and very easy to follow.
