Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me if this works with the Yamaha FG720S?

Although the 9280 is suitable with regard to thickness and height, the concern will be that it is a little shorter Yamaha FG models typically feature a 3" saddle (in some cases ever slightly longer), allowing us to design our 9276 model to fit tighter

The Yamaha CG-90 models can be used with this ?

Since I am unaware of the width of the saddle slot in your guitar, I am unable to tell you whether this saddle will fit in it.

The car I have is a 1972 Martin D-Type Talked to the grover rep about a 35 guitar that was having tuning issues. I want to make sure I stay in tune with this nut. GROWER tuners are used. ?

In order to fit this into Martin saddle slots, you will need to do a lot of sanding. It seems like Tusq has a saddle designed for Martins specifically. It would be wise for you to have your guitar checked out by a luthier.

Is this going to fit on a 12-inch fender What is the difference between acoustic and electric string instruments? I'm talking specifically about the 12 string cd 160se. ?

The 9280 can also be used with some slight modifications if the 9272 is being used on a Fender acoustic instrument.

It is the perfect fit for my 2001 Seagull S6 cedar top guitar
5/5

I just bought a used 2001 Seagull S6 cedar top guitar at a music store a few days ago. While the condition was quite used cosmetically, it was still in pretty good tonal shape, and it was a good deal. My eye was taken by the saddle which was pretty worn with deep grooves etched into it by all 6 strings. The PQ-style is what I ordered IOS 9280 As described in the product description, the CO saddle is based on the measurement. It was said the shipment would arrive in two days, and I was delighted to receive it within one day. 1) The new saddle fit perfectly in the slot without any need for sanding. No sanding down was required for the action to be nice despite the slightly higher saddle. Adjusted the truss rod and made a couple of other adjustments It will be played for a few days before I decide if it needs to be sanded down. It was just amazing to see how smoothly the new saddle fitted into the slot. You should buy this saddle if you own a Seagull S6. This sounds like a good idea to me 3) 3/29/18 Update. After sanding the saddle to the old saddle height, I went ahead and painted it the original color. Now that the truss rod has been adjusted a little, it is working great The purchase was a good one and I am very happy with it ).

A cheap guitar resonates a lot more than a more expensive guitar
4/5

Check out the video and hear the difference between the old and new bridges. In a nutshell, A "Jasmine S33" guitar that I own was manufactured in Korea at an entry level price point. In order to reduce the height of this bridge, a lot of sanding was required. As I understand it, that is a normal occurrence. As a result of installing the new bridge, the sound is louder, brighter, and has a brighter ring. My new bridge sits higher than my old bridge, so my middle strings (3,4) are higher. It is likely I will spend another evening to further reduce the height.

Probably should have done it a long time The Alvarez I got in high school is still with me today
5/5

Although my guitar had always sounded great, I wished for a tone more like Taylor or Martin. Costs just don't seem justifiable to me at this point. As for the saddle, It seems to be the same guitar as before, and the installation was very easy. The only downside is that it takes some patience when it comes to sanding. Taking your time will open your eyes. The mids got a lot of boost, while the highs sound more vibrant. Having decent low end in my guitar has never changed, so not much has changed. There is a big difference in the sustain. There are twice as many rings This chest bump gets a 10/10. A lot of effort was put into this. *br**br* (I went from hardened plastic to bones. The reason why this was incredible could have been because of this).

Seagull by Godin is impractical for many guitars, but fine for others
3/5

To get your PQ, click here Please dial 9281-9282 There is no bridge that would be suitable for a Seagull guitar constructed after the 1990s. "PQ-" is the right one Please dial 9281-9282 The following are the characteristics of C0 This is one of the listed saddles that Graphtech sells, the TUSQ 1/8" Compensated Godin Saddle.

From In addition to the differences between the 9280 and the 9280s, there are some features that are similar. " 9281 represents the 9281 number. In contrast, the 9281 has a serpentine style of compensation (contact point gradually slops back and forth across the top of the saddle). Another difference is that the 9281 has a 16” radius while the 9280 has a 12" radius As we manufactured the 9281 saddle specifically for Godin within the past couple years, the 9280 saddle should be suitable if you have a Seagull from 1990.

D5 is improved with the Greg Bennett method
5/5

There was a Greg Bennett D body acoustic in the goodwill section that I picked up. For less than a dollar, you can get a com website. As part of the standard equipment, plastic saddles were included. It seems to have more sustain with the TusQ
saddle. I installed a set of Elixirs while it was apart, it sounds awesome! While using those guitar files meant that I had to file the TusQ down to fit, it was taking an eternity. After sanding and fitting for less than an hour, I had this saddle perfectly fitted. Using a floor drum sander, I found a big piece of #20 sandpaper. This can be done much more quickly. I switched to a #180 paper when I got close to where the saddle needed to be. To acquire a thinner or longer piece, I had to sand down its height, length, It takes a lot of time, but is well worth the effort. To make your Greg Bennett a TusQ saddle, turn it into a Greg Bennett with a plastic saddle. In addition to changing out the plastic pins for brass ones, I also removed the cheap plastic ones and replaced them with brass ones. All of these parts can be found on In other words, I was able to double the performance of the Bennett for less than $30. Make sure you don't sand down too far, or you will miss the mark. For a low action, I sanded down the TusQ until I got the shape I wanted. It is a measurement of 0. 6 inches between 12 frets. The game is easy to play with no buzz. If you have an awful plastic saddle on your acoustic guitar, get one of these, regardless of what brand guitar you have.

It improved the sound transfer a lot
5/5

A Yamaha FG700S dreadnought acoustic guitar that my son bought for me used is one of my instruments. After some research, I found this saddle to be a decent replacement for a saddle I was not satisfied with. In order to cut the saddle to the right depth, I had to mark and sand it first. The new sound is much brighter and fuller than the previous one, which I recorded as a before and after demo. After adding the Fishman under-hood I removed the Fishman Here's the thing After setting the saddle, we had to sand it more and resand the pickup. I am amazed at the quality of the sound transfer. When I play gigs, I receive lots of compliments about how good the guitar sounds.

The sound is powerful and smooth, but I cannot play it on my amplifier for very long
4/5

I had a hard time getting it sanded down properly. The once Acoustic/Electric Fender I have now is just acoustic because despite all my efforts getting the sandpaper dead flat, I cannot get all the strings to work In any case, I am not sure if that $2000 Martin guitar sounds any better than my $200 guitar. I used to be able to play it through my amplifier, but no longer can. the trip was well worth the time and effort.

It's a nice piece of I think it's too big for the older Washburn acoustics
5/5

The tone of this guitar is similar to that of an old Washburn guitar from the 1990s. As a result, I took a few measurements and calculated that the fit shouldn't be too Oh my god, was I ever There was too much of it in all directions. It took a good deal of sanding to size the material down for the slot because it is also a pretty hard material. If you wish to do this project, I recommend using either files or really coarse sand paper. I also had a hard time keeping the bottom square as I was sanding, so be careful. In terms of sound, I don't notice any radical changes, but I noticed my saddle was chipped and cracked, so this was more of a maintenance job than a renovation.
