As an alternative to filing or sanding the originals, these are what I used to restore an old Yamaha classical guitar. It was too tall (due to the neck angle) and too loose in the bridge on the original saddle. In my case, the new one was too thick and too tall (which I wanted) so I had to cut it down to size to perfectly fit the bridge, lower the action, and tonally was definite that it smelled of bone when it was being sanded. I was exactly what I was looking for in this product.
With my file set, these are very easy to use and inexpensive to buy. They are well within the description (buy them a little long and tall and modify them to fit your needs). Very nice product, will buy again without a doubt.
It is an outstanding deal. I have been a luthier for more than 20 years.
I found it to be perfectly useful.
For example, I needed a saddle 2 inches in thickness. A 9mm diamond. 2. That's what I got out of this. Therefore, sizing was already unnecessary since the garment was too small before it was even shaped. The rest is up to you. Do they seem to be in good health? As I haven't had the chance to use them, I am not sure.
The quality of the product is excellent.
High quality product.
