Questions & Answers
There is probably enough space for the metronome on the music stand table if the surface is flat and level and the music is not too large. The answer is no if the table is tilted (as they almost always are).
I believe it is. There are two of them in my possession. A defective one was repaired at no cost to me after I sent it back to them for repair. A very decent and trustworthy group of people
This small, compact Taktell Piccolo 836 is not a large model.
Having to use one for children and teenagers is a normal part of my job as a piano teacher. You will like this winding mechanism, and it lasts long. Be cautious and do not over wind it, as the mechanism lasts a long time. The length of a single loop is sufficient for a long sonatina with repeated episodes.

My previous one used to be the same way. 40 years ago, I had a similar one. I borrowed it from my sister once and she threw it down the street, and a 1967 Fairlane collided with it. The future is now. My sister has had children and now I can hear my metronome again. You can never have too much revenge!.
It is well designed and sturdy, even though it is made primarily of plastic. In the end, the success of a metronome comes down to how well it keeps time, and this one keeps time exceptionally well, ranging from 40 beats/second (bps) all the way to 208. An untightened spring will run the movement for 20 minutes. The movement is powered by a hand wound The beat is adjusted by moving the metal slider up or down the calibrated arm as well as carefully winding so as not to overtension the spring mechanism, which could result in a loss of Be sure to allow metronome to fully dislodge spring tension before putting the unit away, as this will guarantee a long service life for the spring. I use the unit to get the timing correct when playing Paganini violin concertos, and I have not been.
In fact, the sound it makes isn't a little click, it's as loud and lasts about as long as a typewriter key (if you're old enough to remember the sound), so you can breathe easy after it. You can tell there is only a SMALL difference between a tick and a tock if you listen closely. The concrete construction of this is very appealing to me, I don't know if that was deliberate or just a side effect. By sliding the weight up or down the neck of the pendulum, the pace can be adjusted. As I mentioned previously, being careless, you might accidentally slide it up off the bar, but you can put it back on after putting a little effort into it. Unlike another metronome, I do not have another tool that can measure its accuracy, but you can set "beats per minute" by sliding the weight up and down and aligning it with the scale printed on the tool. After about 15 minutes, the metronome will "wind down" and you will have to use the little key that comes with the unit to wind it up again. The key is stored on the unit's face so you will not No adjustments can be made to the volume, tone, etc. My favorite part of the metronome is the way it looks. Metronomes like this one have a slightly more modern look than the old wooden ones, while still retaining the class and timelessness of the original. In order to avoid damaging the front of the unit, it has a nice cover that snaps on. In addition to protecting the face from dust, the cover keeps moving parts free from dust. The only thing I would change about this metronome would be that if it could be designed in a way so that the cover snaps into place on the back of it when the metronome is in use, it would prevent the cover from accidentally being separated from the metronome. You can liken it to taking the lens cap off of There is a great likelihood that someone will "set it down somewhere" and then My overall experience with this metronome has been very positive.
It would be interesting to compare the performance of mechanical metronomes to digital ones after reading some feedback about them. It seems to be the best Taktell I've read yet, and I'm impressed as well. In addition to trying a variety of tempos and comparing with the metronome on my digital piano, I was amazed how well it kept time. After 30 seconds or so, I stopped listening for any deviation between the ticks. There's a nice sound (very audible but not too loud), and setting it is very easy when the pendulum is hooked vertically in place because the notches in accordance with the beats per minute line up immediately with the weight of the clicking slider. I have to say that this unit keeps great time, and I look forward to learning how to control it better. useful to be able to see (as well as hear) the meter to be able to break it up. A mechanical clock is a great option for those who are new to keeping time.
I was hesitant about buying one considering the higher cost, but I'm glad that I did, given its features. This is a great deal of work.
My initial reaction when I opened the package was disappointment. I wound this unit up and turned it on. There was an unusual amount of noise, and I was annoyed. The house I live in has three other residents and is a medium size. It was a concern that the volume was too high. The unit will only be fully unwound after it has been entirely unwound. In all, I only made 15 clicks, while the metronome ran for 6 min. I would like to play this for 10 minutes (52bpm) at an extremely low As a result of the partially wound accuracy, I was nervous. As a result, I tested the accuracy with the tap tempo future built into my Snark All the way to the end, it was nuts. Just the batteries alone cost me enough to cover the cost of this unit. Reviewing is either fun or irritating, so I leave one either because I dislike it or because I love it. With its satisfying click, this metronome is top of the line.
My first metronome disgusted me! I had bought it previously and I hated the sound! It was a little apprehensive for me to buy another one, but I did once I saw how good the price and how cute the size was. This is an excellent product, the sound is nice and it is Although I cannot attest to its accuracy, I found it to be useful in teaching my kids to play the piano.
DOES THE JOB! A very long time ago, I had one of these, but then I went for a digital one, but the Wittner is still a very good one. A lot of work has gone into making it, and it works well for timing and building speed. I like it!.
In the past, I returned two different metronomes before this one. I think it is a perfect volume for a practice room, where you cannot hear it beyond a closed door but it is loud enough to practice at. It was a very good day.
