There are no loops to wind. The device is powered by batteries. The unit is very nice.
The on/off power switch is located at the very top of the back of the unit. The slider is on the front, with a grove that runs from top to bottom and is centered in the middle. Slow tempos can be achieved by moving to the top, while faster tempos can be achieved by moving all the way to the bottom. It's a well-made metronome that slides easily.
Yes. You can adjust the volume by scrolling up and down the volume button.

br>br>The fact that the beats per minute are a little out of whack is the ONE THING that's wrong with it. From 40 to 60, it goes by twos, then 63, 66, 69, 72, and 76. Then it goes up in fours until it reaches 120. Then multiply by sixes to get to 144. Then multiply by eights to get a total of 208. SO, IF YOU WANT TOTAL CONTROL DOWN TO THE EXACT BEATS PER MINUTE, THIS IS NOT THE METRONOME FOR YOU! To put it another way, if you need 94 beats per minute, you can choose between 92 and 96. So, if you're in a band or doing some recording, you might need a different metronome that you can set to the exact beats per minute that your song requires. br>br>However, if you're just practicing or doing whatever you want and don't need to dial in exact beats per minute, this is a very simple and functional device. It's battery-powered, so it'll last an eternity; It's also rechargeable with a phone charger! There's also a jack for headphones. br>br>On the top, there are a set of LEDs that bounce back and forth, one of which changes color on the first beat. It helps me get a better sense of when the beats are coming and keeps my "internal metronome" in the right place. It's simple to adjust the volume, including turning it off entirely (and relying solely on the LEDs). There are controls for rhythm (notes per beat) and timing (from 2/4 to 6/4). It's simple to adjust the beats per minute, and there's even a "0" where there's no hard beat and it acts like a traditional wind up metronome). br>br>Excellent metronome for practicing; however, due to the lack of control over each and every beat per minute from 40 to 200, it is not suitable for "studio musicians. ".
It's simple to use and has a tempo slider to make adjusting easier and more precise. I like the size; it's small enough to be portable, but large enough to fit on my piano, and the settings are simple to change. I like that it comes with everything you'll need to get started, including batteries, clear instructions, and a carrying case.
This metronome was clearly designed with care. It has all of the essential metronome features, but what sets it apart is how simple it is to change tempos using the slider. One disadvantage, as mentioned by another reviewer, is that the granularity of tempo adjustments is lost. This makes no difference to me in the least. The LED that blinks back and forth is a nice touch, as is the red light that indicates the first beat. I also believe that the sound it produces is appropriate for a metronome, and that the volume can be adjusted, which is critical. br>br>On top of that, it has a very sleek appearance! It looks cool and isn't cheesy in the way it imitates the design of a mechanical metronome.
I prefer the traditional metronome sound, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I couldn't confirm that in person because I had sealed and packed it for return, but the power button wasn't obvious to me lol. Then I looked at the description and it was displayed on the back and the same color as the device, which I couldn't confirm in person because I had sealed and packed it for return. I wanted to use it to help me sleep or for reps in the gym, but I can't take those game sounds seriously.
Finally, an alternative to using your phone that is worth buying! I like how it looks; it's digital, but it has a vintage feel to it. In contrast to many other digital brands, the various sub divisions of rhythms and time signatures are simple to use. A carrying case is included. This was an excellent purchase, and I'm glad I came across it.
It's easy to use, sits nicely on the piano, and doesn't have a distracting beat. It emphasizes the first beat of each bar, and for the first time in my life, I'm actually enjoying using a metronome to practice.
This metronome piqued my interest due to its hybrid appearance and functionality. After an hour of use, and after selecting the eight note subdivision, it works for a few minutes before freezing, requiring you to turn it off and on. I assumed it was the batteries, so I replaced them, but the problem persisted. So this metronome is useless for me because I have to set it every other minute if I want my subdivision to work. This is a particularly nasty bug, in my opinion: (And it was such a letdown for me. ).
I can easily hear it because it is at a good volume. It's a nice feature to have a flashing light indicator. Small and easy to transport. The AAA batteries are simple to replace.
