This lamp looks like it uses older LEDs that are not as bright as brighter ones used for under-counter lights. I had hoped it used high intensity LEDs intended for under-counter lighting. I describe my experience as follows *Pros include I) Well-reported outcomes 2) Nifty fold up design folds compactly to fit within the case of my music stand. A strong clip, but difficult to get It can be used with almost any stand that you can think of. - The brightest setting is just not very bright (when in a room with overhead lighting, the light actually casts a shadow on the music from the overheads) I would like to add a bit more light to the page instead of a shadow as my eyes aren't what they used to be). While it works fine in a darkened room where your eyes have dilated a bit, I would have liked to have seen this flashlight with the ability to dim and brighten so that it would work just as well in a brightly lit room to illuminate the written text.
