I believe it effectively covers the entire area of a typical stand. When you use extenders, the light on the far pages isn't as bright. However, it continues to be extremely beneficial.
These lights on the music stand are my favorite because they are very bright and can be a brighter or more "yellow" color. It only takes a few minutes to charge them. I didn't time it because I usually plug them in before going to bed and unplug them when I wake up. When I was playing my trumpet at church, I got a lot of compliments on these lights. They don't appear to be charged when they arrive, but it doesn't take long for them to charge.
It came with the lights and it works perfectly.

They were well shaded on goose necks and adjusted so that the audience couldn't see the light sources and the light was evenly distributed across the tables. The recharge time is average, but I used the charger that came with my phone, and the charge time is now much faster. It was an excellent buy because I got two of them for the price of one.
