In the following text are some additional details about this product which I wish I had known before I purchased It is 1/8" thick when viewed upward, with the rubber "asterisk" on the upward-facing surface. Despite the rubber's firmness and smoothness, it retains its temperature well. You can position the conga on this stand so that it is tilted slightly away from you as it sits on it As far as I can tell, the drum doesn't slide on the rubber bottom. There is some textured finish on the underside, but it might not be strong enough to keep the stand from moving. Ascending the stairs It is possible to do a better job if tread tape is applied to the bottom. The product enhances the volume and presence of the bass a lot. There is only one downside to it the cost. I compared it to LP's rubber conga feet. (The feet raise the conga higher off the floor, however, that does not appear to increase volume or bass over the standard conga stand. As a result, the feet are less stable than the base, and they don't provide a stable of sound. It's a bit more difficult to use the ones with a reflective surface. In addition, they have a strong rubber smell. In my opinion, the best way to go about it is in the base.
In reviewing this product and watching the YouTube videos associated with it, I found other people said they were satisfied The effect of leaving the drum flat on the ground on sound projection and bass emphasis was nonexistent. It simply did not improve the sound. Over the past 41 years that I have worked in the health care field, I have purchased many LP products. I'm sorry to say that this one failed. As soon as I turned the knob I noticed a significant improvement, especially in the low end, and the congas have a nice rounded sound to them that I couldn't detect Even my sound guy remarked on how much better the tone was compared to the previous mix, who is a very hard person to impress so I'm confident that these are effective. My tumbao has been transformed into something greater than I ever thought. The LP rounds looked much nicer than the AA rounds, despite them often being criticized for being expensive. As a whole, if you are looking for noticeable improvement in your congas when sitting, these are my top recommendation.
Keeping congas in place is made easy by the rubber cross. Then I turn the congas upside down and place them on top of them in the bottom of the bag. The platform does not need to be carried separately and provides more protection. I highly recommend this product!.
I'm very pleased with them. The congas themselves seem to be very well made, and provide a clean sound escape from the bottom while providing a solid platform for the congas to rest upon. They look fantastic. I'm very pleased with them.
A minor complaint is how you place your drums on the stand is determined by the diameter of the base. It requires me to adjust the stand.
I love the product, it works great and it is well made The process is expensive, but the rewards are long-lasting There are a number of term items to consider There will be no wear and tear.
I needed it, but it was overpriced.
