In reality, this is meant to be mounted to a rack system for a cymbal or tom holder. Multi clamps and Tom arms are needed to attach the floor Tom leg bracket to a multi clamp.

Do you know if a Gibraltar Tom mount will work ?

As a result, I built a custom rack to fit my needs. My goal was to have more comfort when I sit and play snare drum, so I chose a no-leg snare stand. They make rock solid clamps all the time, and this one is no exception. You get a perfect fit as soon as you put it on and tighten up the thing. The chrome version of Gibraltar's clamp that is sold for its no-leg snare stand has no movement, etc. If you don't get one of their wrenches, then the clamp may shift because you will be unable to apply enough torque to the nuts. My key of choice is the SC=GWK and I would not recommend anything else, as this key covers all the bases.

The clamp is perfect

It always works. I have never had any slip issues as other users have reported. Be careful not to overtighten. A collapse of aluminum is inevitable.

As a support for my laptop, I use it. As for the clamp, it matches my drum hardware and has a sturdy finish. Using this clamp is recommended if you plan to cantilever something from the stand as I have. This clamp has a large surface area for clamping the vertical post as opposed to the typical Multi-Clamp. Holding the clamp. I am using a Gibraltar 24" curved rack bar in the picture. Although Gibralter's product support has been a little disappointing to me, I still recommend it. The company's products inspire creative thinking about new ways to use them, but they do not seem to care whether or not you choose the right products for your needs. I sent the company an email and it went unanswered. When I did get an answer, it was.
