You'll be able to use it with floor toms. A rod of any size can be adjusted with it. Using kicks to convert will be good. This clamp is great. This will be a great experience for you.

There are parts of the hoops that are squared off on my Gretsch bass drum. What will happen to my hoops if I use this clamp?

So far, I've been using this clamp for a few shows and I haven't seen any changes to the hoop. Then again, I'm not 100% certain that with more time and shows, this will still be the case

Don't let your wood go to waste. They're currently mounted on a 20" Premier kick, which has bass drum spurs. The claws came with the L rods that came with the percussion accessories, but it is the same one that comes with the spur kit as well. The DW quality on these WOOD HOOPS is not gentle, but this was a cheaper purchase if you intend to use your own spurs. They are your standard DW quality but are NOT GENTLESS. On certain hoops, you have to be careful about how tight you tighten them or you will cut into the wood badly. Expect to need to retune them too, as these also can slip under your head. The metal hoops are really tough to bite down on For metal hoops, I recommend these more, but as for spurs, know that most kicks have wood hoops so that you know what you're getting into. Metal bass drum hoops, according to my experience, seem to hold tuning better than plastic ones.

You should definitely check it out! There's nothing better than this bass drum stand, not only is it sturdy, but it works on any drum set, even a Ludwig questlove or Sonor Martini! You don't have to worry when you play because it is very sturdy

This is a super sick day and I don't know what else to Drum hardware is made here in the US by DW, the best drum manufacturer in the world. Meinl Mike Johnston Signature Series Cowbell paired with the 24" bass drum from DW Performance Kit allows me to set this up quite easily. My bass hoop is held firmly in place by this. As a result of the design, no damage will occur. It is important not to overtighten. My favorite part of the Claw Clamp is the claw. Everyone who likes to get down on cowbells or tambourines must own this album. DW is the best and will always.

Between my upper and floor toms, I can mount an electronic pad with the help of this clamp. I find the design and construction to be extremely good. As a result, a number of errors have occurred. There are actually two different diameters on the arm as well. This is a great.

As the hoop is mounted, it is like a vise, which causes the hoop to tighten, and this can cause 'hoop In this clamp, the hoop is attached to a tension rod, and the drum key is used to tighten it. Because it is so sturdy, and it can remain attached, even if the cowbell is removed, and the L rod is loosened slightly and laid flat, unlike what is usual with clamps. There is a little memory lock on the L rod, which makes it easy to set it back to the same position.

There is the potential for damage to your kick drum ring with most options. I guarantee that it will not, as it is cleverly designed that it will not damage the ring and distribute the forces evenly. It's the only issue I've ever had. There is a lot of strength in the clamp. Only issue I've ever encountered is attaching it to a kick with thinner hoops than my own. It's unlikely that the clamp can be secured to the hoop tightly enough.

Cowbells or woodblocks can be mounted on this rack. The bass mounts on this site are of a steel construction and have a felt pad to prevent scuffing on your bass rim, making them a significant improvement over the generic bass mounts which scratch Heavy-duty hardware from DW has proven to be tough and durable. The Catalina Club Jazz is mounted on my mahogany walnut Gretsch.
