A boom arm's tail end is all that remains. As far as I'm concerned, it works nicely for me. Getting rid of extra stands is another benefit of this. A crash of 18" will not be an issue with it. It is my sincere hope that you found this useful.
The one on mine is a Paiste 505 18-inch China, so I guess it can most certainly be done. My BOPE kit has been greatly enhanced with this item
In fact, yes. I love the way it works! This product may be of interest to you.

Please note that this boom does not come with clamps to attach it to stands.
I didn't expect to order a boom arm that would attach On top of my 13" Sabian XSR Stack is a 16" trash S Zildjian (without china, just wavy hihat). The 20" Paiste rock ride follows that. It's VERY heavy but still rocks and remains It's just a matter of cranking the motor. My kit makes it a little difficult to aim where you need it (at least for me).
I am in love with this thing. In contrast to a vertical pole, it attaches to the arm of the boom of the cymbal stand. Aside from being extremely stable and versatile in terms of placement, it also does a very good job holding in place. It holds splashes and crashes well (including a 17"), as I have several of them. If you hear an 800) or a wobble, take immediate action. As another example of Gibraltar's innate innovation translated into a useful and quality product, we present this attachment.
In addition to the short boom ratchet I purchased, I attached the long boom ratchet to it, and both together can support three cymbals, a 10 in splash stacked with an 8 in bell, and a 14 in crash on the long boom. Everything seems to be going well so far. The clamp is a very solid piece of equipment.
The gift I bought was for my 6-year-old son The year is I gave him one extra set of cymbals for Christmas since he wanted extras for his drum kit. Compared to what I expected, the construction quality was excellent. There is a lot of weight on it Steel is a heavy-duty material. In fact, I ordered the wrong item, since this is designed to slide over a boom or something like that, rather than clamp on to a cymbal stand, but I figured out a way to use it. Nevertheless, it is my fault for ordering the wrong thing in the first place I really like the product.
When I received it in the mail, I had no idea what I would do with it, but sure enough, I used it. Having mounted it on one of the legs of my floor tom, it works wonderfully as a low china stand for the tom.
In addition to a crash kit, I also wanted another of these for use with the same product I use for a crash kit. One of my 18 inch Paiste 505 Chinas fits in this case. I love the way it looks and holds tight. Excellent product.
