Questions & Answers

Should this pad be accompanied by a stand?

While you do not have to have a stand, it may be better. On your lap or in a chair, you could place the practice pad. The best way to use this practice pad is to mount it on a snare drum stand. This will allow you to sit comfortably (correctly), as well as adjust both its height and angle. As a result, I highly recommend getting one of these practice pads with a snare drum stand.

There is a 7 year old child just starting school. Is it better to get the 12 inch or 6 inch size? What size is better for next time when he wants to expand his practice set?

Years ago, I played a 6 inch and I just got the 12 inch recently. In addition to being more convenient, the 12 inch sits a lot better in your lap, works well with a typical snare stand, and just has more surface area to work with. I can only see a benefit to the 6-inch screen being that it is easier to carry.

Would it be better to do this or that? Neither of these are as good as Vic Firth 2 It is also 12 inches long with a two-sided practice pad. Are there pros? Pros and cons? What do you think about it all?

There is a slight improvement with the Firth pad. The fact is that RealFeel made the best pad in history (or at least, the best one I've ever played) and altered it about 5 or 8 years ago is somewhat disappointing. Older pads may still be available for purchase on eBay. To be honest, this pad is not recommended for a new pad. I would recommend a Firth or a Vater pad instead.

What is the height of the stand when it is at its lowest point?

I'll get the measurements for you when you send me another message tomorrow.

Sadly, this is a sad situation
3/5

The rubber itself has seen a dramatic improvement over how it used to be before when all it was A pad that used to be available as a brand called "Real feel" used to be the most durable pad available. Later, D'Addario bought that company and replaced the amazingly strong wood that the rubber sits upon with a cardboard wood fiber material that isn't suited for shipping and can be destroyed when it gets to you. It only takes a drop of water for it to rust. This pad is literally falling apart. The real feel pad i bought when they first came out was thrown around, dropped and got thrown around again for 7 years of marching band, then DCI drum corps, and then many, many Before it was stolen, I had used that pad for about 15 years. D'addario "evans" has some amazing products for every instrument and they ruined the whole thing by taking the best part of it and making it worse.

It's easy to give this 5 stars

Having just received the Evans 2 I'm in love The Practice Pad comes with two sides. The reason I needed a good pad was that I like to practice my drumming technique early in the morning and that wouldn't work for everyone else at home. The thing has been in my possession for almost a week now, and I use it constantly. Honestly, it's one of the most beautiful pads we've ever seen A nice quality wood with rounded edges, have thick and heavy gum on either side and recycled rubber on either side. When I opened the box, my first impression was that it was a little heavy, but that turned out to be a blessing because it will stay put while using either side. Additionally, the thickness of the pad allows you to put it on any surface that you desire (carpet, padded seat, lap) and you will still get the same rebound on your drum sticks that you desire without the pad My foam piano bench is usually where I place it. As Evans describes it, it truly has a real feel. Gum Rubber's response to drum sticks is right in the middle of what you would expect from your toms and snares A faster response is provided by the Recycled Rubber side. The Recycled Rubber side of the practice pad is more satisfying to beat on than the regular side, as it doesn't create as much noise as you might imagine when looking at it. In other words, you can use either side and it won't bother others. I beat this thing up a lot in the last week - sometimes abused it out of frustration at myself - but for the moment, it doesn't show any stick marks on either side. The cons are There are no beautiful/stylish products on the market that I've been able to find. It is a well-designed, heavy, hefty game. It is a bit high quality, but it's a lot.

I was extremely pleased with this purchase! After receiving the RealFeel practice pad two days ago, I have now taken my first lessons
5/5

the last 2 days, I have NOT played my Roland V Drums From the day I bought them until now, I have played them every single day. It's so nice to play with the RealFeel that I can't look at anything else. As I work from home (visualizations), I have quite a bit of time to play drums when my computers aren't doing their thing. The RealFeel is also quite quiet and is very comfortable. Rubber pads on my TD11K make a louder sound, while the soft sound on this one is much quieter. The ball has a nice rebound, as its name suggests, and it is lightweight The feel of the game is great. As someone who does not have an acoustic drum set (and who has not played one either), I cannot attest to the "Real" designation. The book is a highly recommended read. There is a lot of weight to it and it is quite strong This is my favorite thing! I love it! My purchase was in response to many positive reviews, so yes, it was a worthwhile purchase.

It is an excellent practice pad for drummers of all abilities
5/5

I was playing this pad within ten minutes after opening the box, and within five I could tell it was going to be a good purchase. The different types of practice pads I have used over the years vary greatly. A while back I was shopping on Amazon for a new practice pad and came across this one. It intrigued me to know that there were two sides We read the "two feelings" claim, and after reading some reviews we decided to give it a shot. I was surprised by how quickly the package arrived and how well packaged it was. As soon as I got home, I pulled out my Tama Roadpro snare stand to give it a shot. Since the first time I played the paradiddle, my heart was already smitten. Despite being well made, this pad looks great, and seems as though it will last a long time. It is sturdy, and weighs just enough to allow it to sit on my table instead of my stand.
The sides of the pad are as follows A slight texture on the gray or gum rubber side, excellent bounce, and relatively quiet are the features of this side. Compared to the black side, the black side is firmer. There is a noticeable difference between the grey side and the black side in terms of how loud the black side is. When practicing rudiments, I like this side because it is less rebounding and you have to work harder to achieve success. My recommendation goes to any drummer interested in practicing their drumming. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet way to practice or who is just starting out as a drummer.

Two Evans Practice pad with two sides
5/5

Daughter is an excellent drummer and even teaches at the studio of the teacher she studies with. The other practice pad she had was lost, so we bought this one for its replacement.
