A good fit and good price on Amazon made this the perfect choice for me. The package was well packaged and it was delivered quickly. There is a 5 inch thick cushion on the seat. The seat is I am very impressed with the quality of the hardware. As a 6 foot tall character, I am uncomfortable with the throne at its lowest setting. At its lowest setting, it is too high, and that puts me at an uncomfortable angle while playing. Players with shorter statures will certainly have difficulty with this. Using my 30 year old Tama hardware I was able to raise the Gibraltar throne to the perfect height by mounting it on my shorter Tama hardware. While not the most comfortable seat, it does provide sufficient support. As a side note, I measured the seat height of the Gibraltar at its lowest position and found it to be 21 inches tall, not 20 inches as advertised.
Let me begin by saying that this throne is one of the most comfortable I have I think as a result of this (I was using a 10 dollar pdp stand), my playing quality improved slightly. Although I gave this 4 stars, I am giving it a low rating because the bracket clamp always comes loose, no matter how hard I tighten it.
