In the case of locking my tripod down fully and extending the camlock as high as I am comfortable with, the heads of the bongos are about 45 inches above the ground. In order to use the tripod, the camlock shaft is moved down as far as the tripod will allow. This brings the height of the heads to There are 5 inches between the floor and the table. As well, I bought a short stand, which has a height range for the heads of about 25 inches to 31 inches, which I can use when playing seated. Although I am no bongo player, I do play an occasional game. The reason I bought them is that my daughter and I are starting a percussion ensemble together. Wishing you the best of luck

It's a well made and solid structure, but you'll have to get used to standing or sitting on a high stool if you plan.
