Only one head is present. For the front of the bass drum, this head is typically used. I had it engraved with the name of my band. To use as the batter, I would get a different head.

Anyways, the set was given to me by my beloved father, who was a drummer himself until he passed away from cancer, so this set means a lot to me, and when I tore the Remo Head with the Yamaha decal printed on the front, I was devastated until I realized that the remains of the Resonant Head were unmanageable and irreparable— I went to the Remo site and messaged with customer service, and they helped me figure out which head I wanted. This had to be it. I also ordered some Yamaha decals to put on the head if I truly believe it will bring back memories. For now, I think the head looks good in black, but I plan on slathering the logo on top to make things look like they did before. br>br> I've always tuned my drums by ear, but I recently decided to use my Drumdial to measure the depth and diameter of my drums and adjust the tuning accordingly. My drums sound a little more assured after that. Although I use old shirts to muffle them so no one can hear me learning quarter note triplets on the snare over a jazz Ostinato on the ride with quarter notes on bass and hi hat on 2 4.
It has a great look as well as a great sound. I like how the Ebony heads have a polished black look to them; they're a great Remo head with a great look, and they're made in the United States! There was nothing else I could ask for.

This Head has a great sound and is also very cool. Unfortunately, the audience will not be able to see the back view of the drummer. br>I tweaked it until it was a powerful and dramatic THUD! This is something I enjoy. br>br>Update: It broke after 5 months of use, so I'm going back to Ludwig because at least they last, and this may look cool, but that's all there is to it.
