Yes, this head will fit a Remo roto tom that is 8 inches in diameter. I have a 6", 8", and 10", all of which are compatible with Remo roto toms. I hope this has been of assistance.
I'll also confirm that a 14" black dot snare head is available. I'm not sure if the other commenters even know how to play the drums.
Yes. There was a black dot on the one I got. I believe they use the same image for all of their variations.

To replace the three CB700 roto tom heads I was using, I ordered this 8-inch head, as well as a 6-inch and 10-inch head. Each item was packaged in its own Remo box. At first, I wondered if roto tom and regular drum heads were in any way different. Perhaps because the head rim and the roto tom frame are different sizes. or perhaps as a result of the prolonged tightening They did, however, fit perfectly and were well tightened and tuned. As is customary for Remo, the quality is outstanding. To begin, make sure the new heads are centered in the roto tom frames and tighten all of the lugs evenly with your fingers until they are snug. Then, instead of using the lugs, turn the roto tom frame to maintain tension. Allow the heads to stretch and become accustomed to their new surroundings before tightening them. As you turn the frame and stretch it, you'll hear the sound it makes. For the time being, you can stop when you hear the first sounds. Allow them to adjust for half an hour before tightening a little more. After the initial tightening, gradually tighten the process until you achieve the desired pitch. Patience is required. The sound is much fuller and the bounce is softer than the CB700's. The three-piece set with the black control dots looks and sounds fantastic.
Imagine tuning a Remo CS reverse dot, Remo P3 coated pin stripe, or, more recently, the Evans EC Reverse dot to medium tight/tight, then backing out two lugs to fall out. This head has a lot of Mykar in it, and that's how it feels. You must fight the stick once more in order for the head to return. It's almost as if it soaks up the bounce. It's as tough as nails. Except when it comes to doubles and ghost notes, of course. The power of the tip is seriously harmed by this skin. Crush the head with the stick power, which is ideal for ground and pound. For nuances and delicate work, I would not recommend it.
20-inch head size: I bought mine for $13 and was hesitant at first, but it was well worth the risk because I needed to replace my front head. (I replaced the front head on my powerstroke 3 with this one. ) ) I recorded both under the same conditions (Beta 52 A) and discovered that the black dot was more punchy in the beginning and had less sustain. It has a very classic rock sound to it, which I enjoy.
Without a doubt, the baddest, most gangsta-like character. I know when I finally got mine tight and tuned on my snare the way I wanted it, it couldn't have looked any better, and it sounded great too. It's a Remo drumhead, so you know what that means. But if you really want to look like a champion while playing a champion's kit, you should get one of these drumheads right away.
Since my beginnings as a drummer, I've been a fan of Remo heads. This head packs a powerful punch, and the black dot is a timeless look.
The black dot centers and broadens the attack, giving the sound a fatness, and the white dot brings out the resonance of the drums. These are the heads for you if you like to play hard and want a big phat sound with a lot of attack and focus.
I've been using white dots as a reso and batter head for my 26" kick for a while now, so seeing that they were available on Amazon Prime was exciting. I was excited to get my hands on a new CS white-dot. br>br>When I opened the package, there was a lovely, brand new 26" CS BLACK DOT, which irritated me greatly. White dot and black dot are not the same thing, as far as I'm aware. Not only is there a difference in color, but there is also a difference in dot thickness. So, despite the fact that the description clearly states white dot, I received a black dot head. I didn't have to return the black dot because I had a place for it in my studio, but I did want to let others know about it.
The drum head was uneven, and I couldn't tune the drum. The head wouldn't fit in the right place. I can't return it because I threw away the box, assuming that the head was of the same high quality that Remo is known for.
