Yes, I would recommend these heads for bass drums in my opinion; obviously, there are other options and brands that have similar heads, but these are very nice heads. br>For me, (PDP Concept Maple 22" and 24" bass drums by DW), they're a very good choice for my bass drums and give me the sound I like and want from my bass drums (and I can only speak for myself).

2 ply "24" with muffling ring About ten years ago, I used to use the Evans Emad. My local music store employee recommended these to me one day, assuring me that they would be better than the Evans. I followed his advice and was pleased with the results. Since then, I've been using these heads on my kick drum. They're durable (I've never broken one) and have a fantastic sound. Durability is a must for me because I hit my kick drums very hard.
Nothing.
I like how the drumhead has a sound deadener built in. Without the overtones, this is a good sounding head. These heads last a long time when used with a beater pad, and I saved nearly $15 by purchasing them on Amazon instead of at my local music store.
I just got these for my new Ludwig classic maple, which also came with a super kick 2.
They're high-quality and last a long time, and the same can be said for this head. It's given me the perfect muffled punch without obliterating the slight overtones that make it sound organic and acoustic. It's adaptable and works well in a variety of tuning situations. There's no way to go wrong with this! That $40 was well spent!.
Overtones are greatly reduced by using an internal muffling ring.
Thank you for making everything go so smoothly.
