It really brings a 16" kick to life. When used with a ported regulator, it makes it sound like a quieter 22". I've gotten a lot of compliments on how small the kit is and how rich the sound is.
There aren't many choices for a 16" bass drum head, so this is a nice one. In this case, however, a regular Remo Powerstroke 3 coated head produced slightly better sound and tuning results. Both will do the job for that bebop/safari 16" bass drum conversion, but the remo has a slightly better and fatter sounding bottom end.
Replaced the factory bass Drum head making the set sound 100% better than 100% before.
I bought this drumhead for my boyfriend despite having no prior experience with drumming equipment! They made it simple for me to understand, and I'm now known as "the best girlfriend on the planet," so I'd go with them (;.
