A Mapex Saturn kit with external isolation mount legs and tom mount fits easily into an 18 x 22. As the bag is constructed in the shape of a teardrop, more space is left To mount the tom on top of it, I align As a side note, each of my Saturn's legs sticks out an additional 3 inches from the drum shell, and the mounts on my toms also stick out an extra 3 inches. Also, most people find it helpful if the bag zips all the way down the side. No stress is placed on the zipper of the bag by the drum fitting snugly within it.
The problem is measuring drums is subjective and confusing, so it is impossible to say with accuracy. To tell you the truth, I have a PDP CX 18 X 22 kick that has wood hoops and a substantial tom mount on top that fits perfectly into
That would be awesome. It was really difficult for me to decide when to place my order. my second check was on the Ahead site. They have all the model numbers and sizes there, and they also show how to measure the drums there.

I bought this to be the best bass drum case I have ever bought. It is second to none in terms of how it unzips completely to create ease of access. Despite the fact that it is made well, I feel that it will Over the next couple of weeks, I plan to convert all of my remaining Tom.
It is easy The product is very good. It is extremely easy This is a very durable product. To protect the drum itself, there should be good padding and cushioning. The price was excellent for the quality of the product. The casing is very lightweight compared with molded cases made of plastic. It is very easy to carry the drum when it is This product is very good and I would definitely recommend it.
It's a nice However, I wish they came in the size my bass drum is, which is a 20" drum. It's only a matter of time until they get 'em.
I really like this case, and it arrived quickly.
There is no doubt that drum cases are the best!.
Bags made by Ahead Armor Drum are oversized or loose fitting (no, I purchased the correct sizes) compared with similar bags by Protection Racket. With a variety of drums of correct sizes from several drum manufacturers, I found the Ahead bags to be overly loose, while my same sized Protection Racket bags fit perfectly. When transported or stored, oversized bags offer the drum the flexibility to move around inside the bag and take up just that little bit of extra room. This is not a good thing.
While Ahead's bag looks similar to Protection Racket's, the padding on Ahead's bag is just slightly less dense than on Protection Racket's bag. As with its comparable Protection Racket bags, the overall build quality of the Bags Ahead is just not as good. (Ahead offers unique bags (e. g. Double Kick Pedal + Snare Bag) while Protection Racket does not. In summary, Ahead Armor Drum bags are decent, but a bit disappointing compared to Protection Racket's bags of a similar price. There will be no more Ahead Armor bags for me, I will only buy Protection Racket from here on out. Test results for Ahead Armor were not positive.
The kick bag 18" x 22" is on its way. I just ordered two Tom bags, and two Tom bags. In the case that there is anything I don't love about the ones I haven't yet received, I'll update my review, but I think this is These are hands-down the best case you will ever use, unless you want hard-shell cases.
