I'm not sure how I'm supposed to clean the cloth. It says not to wash it in water, so how do I remove the dirt and oil that has inevitably rubbed off the instrument?

I usually replace mine once a year or whenever they become worn out. I don't believe there is a way to clean any type of silver polishing cloth safely and effectively while still using it.

Will this remove the tarnish on my flute without causing it any damage?

With a little elbow grease, it works out beautifully

This was purchased in order to repair a neglected French horn. I cut a strip off to get into the hard-to-reach places and used the remainder on the bell; the horn turned out beautifully. (With the exception of the dents, of course. ) ) I forgot to take a picture of the horn before I started, but it looked exactly like the bell in the picture.

For the musician in your life, this is a great stocking stuffer! Performs the task - And it's rumored that he won't do a good job by breaking my saxophone! Time will tell, but this is an excellent cloth to have on hand when counting measures
