I bought a used trumpet and decided to give it a thorough cleaning before our first concert; just remember to remove pieces carefully, avoid getting any felt pieces wet, keep track of which pieces you remove, and perhaps take photos as you go. If this is your first time deep cleaning a trumpet, make sure you watch a video first! br>br>The kit was very useful in and of itself. It came with brushes that were the perfect size for all the nooks and crannies in our trumpet, slide grease and oil for reassembling it, and white gloves for polishing it with the included cloth. I like that the long brush on a wire has padded tips so it doesn't scratch the inside of the instrument, and that it has a brush on both ends so you can brush in either direction. Because I'm a visual learner, the included card stock instructions were clear, but I still felt better after watching a video of a trumpet cleaning.
