I'm not sure what they're measuring with these other people, but my K The M trombone stand I purchased from this listing is exactly 21 inches tall and matches the picture above. When fully collapsed, this item measures 5" in length.
Mine didn't come with a case, but it came in a small cardboard box that I could have saved and used as one. I believe I still have the case, but I can't be certain.
I'm not sure, but you could inquire with the seller.
Although I'm not sure what a stand has to do with marching band, it is a sturdy stand that should be able to withstand heavy use.

The rubber parts that come into contact with the horn are a little tacky and grab the horn when you lift it off the stand, but it's not a big deal; I'll get a bone sock for that. br>Now it's time to get down to business. I have a 40-year-old Holton that has seen better days and cannot be trusted to safely hold any of my horns, so I spent several weeks looking for stands. I was impressed by the stand that the gal who plays second chair recently received. I enquired about several trombone ensembles, and the K was one of them. M was an obvious choice because it's sturdy and the knobs, despite their small size, fasten securely. My Holton had large knobs that got in the way, but these K's don't. Because the N knobs do not protrude, I believe they are acceptable, and the locking mechanisms are well-designed and secure. The legs' joints are all smooth and tight. (Edited 5/24/18) Examining the plastic parts revealed a pleasant surprise: the plastic base hub, like the rest of the main structural components, is made of glass (fiberglass) impregnated plastic. They're well-made, and I'm confident they'll last a long time; I use a King 3B and a vintage 1930s Blessing, and this stand holds up well. With a heavier horn, I'd have no reservations about trusting it. If I had a particularly heavy horn, I might opt for one of their larger stands. For the price, it's a great deal.
The stand appears to be well-made, and it supported his trombone well (without tipping over).
This is a very sturdy stand that can be used on a variety of surfaces. This works well for me because I don't always set up on flat ground. br>It's simple to assemble, adjust all of the components to different heights, and fold away. It was a tad heavier than I had anticipated. br>I looked at a lot of different types and brands of stands, and this was the one that came highly recommended in a lot of places. This is the one I'm glad I chose. It also comes at a reasonable cost.
For the past 30 years, I've been using an old Hamilton stand. It still works fine for me at home, and I'll keep it set up there, but for rehearsals and gigs, I wanted something newer, sleeker, smaller, and lighter. This stand is slightly smaller when folded than the Hamilton, and it fits into my case better. It's a little lighter as well, but not by much. The most significant distinction is the set-up. It sets up quickly and easily, and I like how the legs snap into place rather than sliding or folding like the old Hamilton. The stand appears to be sturdy and functional. My purchase has been extremely satisfying.
I needed to purchase a trombone stand because I had a gig where I had to quickly switch between trombone and tuba. br>br>During my research, I discovered that this appeared to be the best, but the reviews were mixed. It is, however, extremely sturdy, and I never worry about it tipping over. Everything is held in place by the screws, which are strong. It's also worth noting that the stand is made of metal. Because the feet are rubber, it does not move. br>br>However, the actual head of it is rubber, which is extremely tacky, just like most other stands. That's fine because it's still simple to put on and take off, but I wrapped mine in an old t-shirt's fabric. It's perfect for me because of the shirt.
As a professional musician, I require equipment that is both reliable and long-lasting. This stand is strong and sturdy, has a height adjustment, and is simple to pack up and take with you or use at home for easy instrument access. br>This German-made product comes with a 5-year warranty. It was a no-brainer when it came to choosing a stand.
This trombone stand is perfect for me. It's my first time using a stand. The only thing I wish it could be is more compact; however, given the size of the trombone and the stability it must provide, I believe none of them can be. I would recommend this trombone stand.
This is an outstanding trombone stand - This stand is ideal for many different models of trombones, from alto trombones to bass trombones with double rotors, because it has a weighted bottom with tripod legs, and the adjustable height of the piece the bell actually rests on.
