The platform "plug" (which goes up inside the bell) on this stand has a lot of vertical adjustability, but I don't have a mellophone, so I don't know if the dimensions of a mellophone's inner bell-frame are the same as this stand's. The mellowphone will be stable because of the taper, which will allow it to settle far enough down over the vertical mast of this stand.
I placed an order for a 14990 and received one. I am the proud owner of a Conn 88H f- I have a valve trombone and I really like the stand; it's sturdy, holds the horn perfectly, is solid, and looks exactly like the picture. I'm happy with my stand, and it's nice not to have to put the trombone in the case all of the time. However, the number 55 indicates.
For the most part, no. I'm not sure if there's a trombone stand that can collapse that far. It would take too long for the stand to be set up - even if it's shattered - While inside the bell, it must fit into a standard case. However, straps could be used to attach it to the case's exterior.

I didn't want to spend so much money on a trombone stand, but I figured I could get a second one for less money. After a week with one, I decided to purchase another and consider it money well spent. First and foremost, it is short enough to fit into the pouch on the side of my case. Second, it's built to last. Third, it's highly adjustable in terms of foot height and width, as well as how far down the "plunger" sits on the stand; with a sock on top, it's ideal - It's smooth, soft, and quiet, and you can literally fit it on any stage or area thanks to the feet's adjustability.
I'm on my third K. I started with a K trombone stand and will never purchase another. M's classic chrome model, which I still use today, was introduced 30 years ago. It's held up so well that I wouldn't have needed to buy two more 14990 trombones if I hadn't purchased two more trombones. These stands are sturdy and stable while remaining light in weight. They fit perfectly inside the side pocket of ProTec cases when folded down. It's obvious as soon as you take it out of the box that it's a high-quality item; everything about it screams "QUALITY. " " It's a little more expensive than other trombone stands, but you'll be glad you did because you'll still be using it in 30 years. ".
It's ideal for horns with a lot of weight. The stability and portability of trombone stands are always at odds. The Aida is the champ if you're looking for a small, portable stand. The good- Old Hamilton is cost-effective and bridges the gap between stability and travel convenience. This is a K M is built like a tank. It has a large footprint, which gives you a lot of confidence when you walk away with your horn parked on it. The Aida, on the other hand, is a different story. I recently purchased a very rare bass trombone, which I intend to keep safe at all costs. This is a K M is the one who is in charge. You can dial in the exact fit of your instrument with the adjustable bell support. It's solid as a rock. Although my large footprint would be an issue on many stages, I am frequently hired as a tenor. I'd probably bring the K with me if I had to take my bass out. M, but bring a Hamilton in case there isn't enough room in the car. If all you need is a rock-solid foundation, this is the place to go. You can't beat this thing for a solid practice stand that isn't necessarily something to travel with.
Over the years, I've tried it all, and the K is my favorite. M is simply the best; I purchased 30 of them for my high school Band students to use, and not one has yet been knocked over.
Heavy, stable, and solid trombone stand. br>When I gave my granddaughter a Yamaha YSL-2000, I purchased this stand for her. 882O T- Last Christmas, I broke a bone. br>Each individual requires a good-quality pair of shoes. To hold a $2,800 trombone, you'll need a good stand. br>Well, this one is ideal; it provides the necessary protection for the instrument. All other trombone stands are judged against this gold standard. br>br>Even with a bass trombone, it's very stable. For my trombones, I wouldn't think of using anything else.
My bass bone is supported by a nice, sturdy stand. I'd give it five stars if it didn't have a minor flaw that some might overlook. Because the knobs are small, tightening them sufficiently can be difficult if you have arthritis in your fingers.
It's for my new bass trombone, and it's a lot more stable and supportive than my previous stand from another manufacturer.
