Questions & Answers

What is the exact length of the pocket on the outside?

The size is 61cm, which is quite large.

What's the size of the pocket on the outside? Is there enough room for a binder in there?

No, a 12 X 12 binder is not large enough. However, it can be used to store cleaning supplies.

How does this compare to the mx306ct? I tried the mx306ct for some old recordings and found it to be a little too big in some places. Is this a more suitable option?

I keep my old olds in this gig bag. It fits perfectly, but the bell section requires that I push the tuning slide in. It's a lovely, light-weight hard case that's well-built. It still looks great and has held up well after a few years. I perform frequently, so it doesn't sit in a closet collecting dust.

The connectors' quality and integrity, as well as their flimsiness, disappointed me
3/5

This was given to me as a present. It has backpack straps and plenty of storage space for slide grease and cleaning supplies. It's also very light. The backpack strap connectors, on the other hand, are made of plastic and have a metal clip on them. My son's backpack is no longer usable because the metal clip has broken off. The case's convenience is now ruined. The quality and integrity of the connectors, as well as the flimsy metal clips, were both disappointing. We tried using a paper clip, which is pretty much the same as the lost metal clip in terms of integrity, but an adult could use it more gently and it wouldn't break. Good Luck.

This case is ideal for transporting and protecting a straight tenor
4/5

Great lightweight case for carrying and protecting a straight tenor trombone to gigs. Backpack straps that are built into the bag are extremely convenient. I have a few other ProTec cases, and they're great. br>br>Docking one star because the case's two accessory storage spaces are so small that they're barely usable. With a mouthpiece inside a case, the one next to the horn won't even close all the way. The one next to the tuning slide is only big enough to hold a bottle of RapidComfort. My spray bottle, along with my trombone stand, must be stored in the outside zipper compartment.

There isn't enough room for a lot of accessories in the King 3B
3/5

This case fit my King 3b straight trombone perfectly, but I didn't care for it because I couldn't store anything else in it. Even with my mouthpieces and/or slide creams, the two compartments seemed too small. I would recommend this case if you only need a protective case for your horn; however, if you need to carry additional items in your trombone case such as a horn stand, music stand, music light, music, or anything else, I would look elsewhere. I still give it three stars because it protects your horn and comes with shoulder and backpack straps.

It provides excellent protection
5/5

My daughter recently received a gig bag for her old trombone player. When I was transporting it, I was concerned that it would be damaged. This case provides excellent protection while remaining lightweight. I was so taken with it that I purchased purple cases for my flute, clarinet, and saxophone. I wish there was a purple tenor sax and trumpet protector.

Useful
4/5

This is precisely what was required. Useful. Just what I needed: a lighter-weight case with a shoulder strap that I could easily carry. Because it has a rigid structure, the trombone appears to be safe. br>There are pockets inside for the mouthpiece, lube, and cleaning rod, as well as an outside pocket. I am very happy. Has withstood the rigors of a college marching band, bus rides, and rainy performances.

Case for tenor trombone that is straight
5/5

This is a very nice case. There is plenty of padding and a variety of pouches to choose from. I bought it in the hopes of being able to use it with my Conn 88H. It wouldn't fit properly in the chair. As a result, I used it to find a new home for my Yamaha YSL-2000. 641 and placed the Conn inside the Yamaha's case. Everything has been secured and protected.

This is a well-made case for the price, but the vintage instrument I purchased it for (a 100-year-old Kruspe) didn't fit within the confines of the molded interior, so I couldn't use it
3/5

I don't think fit will be an issue with newer tenor trombones.

It's an attractive bag
4/5

I'm glad I made the purchase. To fit the tuning slide into the case, I have to push it all the way in. That is my only criticism. It's an attractive bag. I'm glad I made the purchase. It is extremely light.
