I don't have any mutes in my bag, but I understand there isn't a separate compartment for them inside. I can see how a straight mute could fit in the horn compartment below or above the cornet, but it will be stored in the same padded slot as your cornet. I do have a Hercules folding stand that is supposed to fit in the horn bell, but it's a tight fit, so I keep it underneath the cornet where a straight mute would probably fit.
Probably
It would, I'm confident. It fits my Getzen Eterna (which is quite large) as well as my vintage Olds Opera.

The horn was restored, but a sturdy new case was required. The extra pockets are great, and the internal wood framing provides excellent protection. br>br>I also purchased a ProTec flute case for my daughter to replace the old wooden case. If you want something that will actually stand a chance against a Jr. , ProTec cases are worth the extra money over the no-name brands. Band with a lot of volume.
Only one cornet and two mouthpieces are stored in the cornet case. In the case, there isn't much else to put. I didn't expect any extra space or features, nor did I expect a mute. It will easily fit into an airline's overhead compartment, as well as under the seat.
My Getzen 3850 cornet is well-protected by this bag. I have four Protec cases, all of which are fantastic. I can easily fit two or three theory books in the side pocket and they stay put. This case outperforms the Getzen stock case by a long shot. The shoulder strap makes it comfortable to carry on your shoulder; if the stock Getzen case had a shoulder strap, I would have shoulder problems; this Protec case is absolutely awesome!.
Today, my Protec Cornet Pro Pac arrived, and I'm very pleased with it. After reading other reviews, I was concerned that it would be too small for my cornet. My cornet fits perfectly in the case without being too tight or rattling around, and it is held in place very securely. For smaller cornets, there is an additional padded block, which my cornet turns out to be. It's more durable than I expected, and it's about the size of a makeup travel case, if not slightly larger.
It's the perfect size for my Harry Coleman cornet from 1904, and it even has two mouthpiece slots. There's no room for mute buttons (which is fine - For those, I have a special case). The length of the strap is ideal for carrying over the shoulder.
Inside the case, the Cornet is upright. A cleaning kit, oils, valve, and mouthpice brushes can all be stored in the outer section. The main bag has two mouthpiece recesses, which is a great feature because all bottles and the horn sit upright when carried or set on the floor.
Protec produces high-quality products. Dillon Music is a great seller for anything you need, and they're always dependable and on time.
Flat- a fantastic situation! Our investment is well protected from the misdeeds of our 9-year-old band member. It also looks cool, unlike the bulky cases that kids used to have to carry around. br>br>However, it's not the most practical shape for transporting sheet music. But it isn't a sheet music case, after all.
