The same. I bought four because they were less expensive. When it comes to salt and pepper, this method works well.
They're not filled. You'll need to pick up some salt and pepper.
Yes, you should be able to grind nutmeg or cardamom that isn't in the shell. If it turned out to be too large to go through the grinder (say, larger than a peppercorn), you could simply break it up before putting it in. I've had mine since January 2020 and have yet to encounter any issues with any of the grinders in the set. I even use one for chili flakes, and it works perfectly. These are well worth the investment, and they will look great in your kitchen.

These grinders are absolutely fantastic. I placed a total of four orders with them. Two teaspoons of salt, and two teaspoons of pepper. In one grinder, I combined Hawaiian Black Lava and Red Alaea Salt, while in another, I combined Pink Himalayan Salt. Then a third grinder with Rainbow Peppercorns and a fourth grinder with Black Peppercorns. They are appealing to the eye and make salt and pepper grinding enjoyable. I included photos of both grinders as well as the results of each. Four turns were used to create each result. br>In addition, one of the grinders wobbled when I received it. After sending an email to the company, they promptly sent me a replacement. There were no queries. In fact, they sent me a second box, so I now have two to fill with something fun and pretty.
Before the first use, I was able to easily clean this grinder, though it took a long time to dry. To add peppercorns, the top must be removed. Unfortunately, for us, that was the end of the product's utility. It grinds in such an inefficient and ineffective manner. To get enough pepper to flavor your food, you must twist the pepper in small twists back and forth dozens of times. We were on a tight budget. I had previously purchased a low-cost plastic version from a grocery store and hoped that this would be an upgrade, but getting the pepper out takes so much effort that it wasn't worth the money. br>It's possible we just got a dud, but the vendor never responded to our first review (stating that the funnel was not included in the box, despite the fact that it stated it would be). Surprisingly, that review (a 3-star rating) does not appear on the product page. a five-star rating).
I bought this set before Mother's Day, and we had a problem with it at my Mother's Day dinner because it wouldn't grind. I emailed the company the next morning (they provide their email address inside the box; do not discard the piece of paper). They responded to me right away. The customer service representative gave me some troubleshooting advice (ha ha, follow the instructions on the box, which we did, but don't tighten the screws as much as my husband did). br>br>I've returned for the second set. Tellicherry black peppercorns (my new favorite, not our mom's black pepper, this is good), granulated garlic (a little coarse grind I want finer), dehydrated red and green bell paper (from my bff's garden/dehydrator), and pink Himalayan sea salt are in my jars; I want to make my own grilling steak, chicken, and pork seasoning blends, and I want to put dried onion flakes in another.
These work well with salt but not so well with peppercorns. They're so ineffective for peppercorns that I'm looking for a replacement after a few weeks of convincing myself they're not that bad. I'm going to have to replace them because each grind produces so little and the size is so inconsistent. I was duped by the seemingly good deal, and now I have one good salt grinder and three useless paperweights.
The grinder is made from high-quality materials. Unfortunately, these grinders for Himalayan salt must be used with caution, as they require the removal of the cap. I should've paid more attention to the finer points of the situation. In addition, a small amount of salt is left in the grinder until the next time it is used. Make certain you know how much money you have left. It does, however, grind the salt to my specifications and is both sturdy and easy to clean.
The four-pack arrived in good condition, with no damage. The grinders themselves appear to be durable, but only time will tell. The adjustments are simple and provide a good range of fine to coarse settings, depending on your preferences. For the price, it was a good buy.
The four-pack is a great deal. Everything about this purchase appeared to be in order. But, alas, one of my four grinders was broken, so I put in my pepper corns and tried to grind them, but nothing happened. I noticed that on the inside of the ring that is directly outside the grinder ring, it was supposed to be stationary but was rotating, so I believe that part is glued and the adhesive used was not of high quality. I know it's only one of the four, but if this happened to one of them, it's likely that the other three will follow suit in the near future. On a personal note, the grinding gears are made of plastic, so I'm not sure how long the grinders will last in the long run. Regardless of how inconvenient it is, I will return the items today. I believe they have a warranty, but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning them to the manufacturer at my expense and waiting weeks upon weeks for a replacement. Perhaps I just got a dud, but that's enough for me to know that I don't want to deal with any future issues.
One is for Himalayan salt, and the other is for whole peppercorns. They exceeded my expectations. Last week, I broke my pepper grinder when I accidentally knocked it off my island. I went online right away and placed a second order. It came quickly, and now I'm back to having two! These are fantastic grinders. I like that you can control how finely the salt and pepper are ground. Plus, they hold a lot of stuff, so you don't have to keep filling them up!.
