I was looking for a cherry pitter, but I ended up with a coffee maker instead
3/5

I ordered this Cherry Pitter a year ago and it took a long time to arrive, and by the time it did, cherry season had passed us by. This year, in 2019, I had the opportunity to use the Cherry Pitter, and it was fantastic. It worked perfectly and quickly, and I liked it so much that I ordered another for my "sig other. " It had been postponed several times (Prime member!). ) and when the package arrived, it was just a single cup of coffee dripper. To resolve the issue, I contacted customer service. There were a couple of delays, and when it finally arrived, it was a different coffee maker. I now have two coffee makers (neither of which are particularly good) but no Pitter. This is an excellent product. I was told by customer service that I could keep the coffee maker for my trouble because it was impossible to actually receive the product. I received a threatening letter threatening to charge me for the coffee maker ($25) if I didn't return it within a week. Again, the coffee pitter was fantastic, if only because receiving it was impossible.

How to get in touch with the seller after the return period has ended
3/5

I purchased this item on June 14, 2020, and it performed admirably (I only used it on cherries - Until the 6th of August, there will be no olives. The "retun window" closed on July 14, 2020. The squeeze handle fell off the unit when the product failed. I reinstalled it and it only worked half of the time (the punger had to be manually pushed back - I guess the return spring didn't work out). I tried for 15 minutes to find a way to contact the seller using Amazon's information but gave up. That is the sole reason for which I am writing this product review. I believe I am entitled to either a replacement unit or a refund. Approximately 90% of the products I've bought from Amazon in the last several years have been problem free.

It works well, but large pits can become stuck in the exhaust port
3/5

It is a quick and safe way to pit a large number of cherries. Because it sprays a lot out the end, I pit it into a big bowl and place the business end just below the rim. br>br>Some cherries with larger pits (for example, Attika cherries, some of which are too big to fit into the device) will get stuck in the exit hole because the pits are too big to pass through the pit hole when rotated sideways. I wish it was a little bigger so I wouldn't have to stop and clear the clogged pit. If you don't keep up with your cleaning, it can become a chore. When working with large batches, make sure to rinse it out as soon as you're finished, and take frequent breaks to do so. Because you don't have complete access to the insides, you'll never be able to get the juice and bits that will end up inside the thing out if you let them dry.

I bought this based on Test Kitchen's recommendation, but it would take at least a week to arrive
5/5

In the meantime, I went to Target and purchased a cherry pitter for a cake. I had been using the OXO brand from Target, which was fine, but when this one arrived, I could tell the difference. Good: br>br>
- - Requires less effort and is extremely smoothbr>- br>-br>Easy to cleanbr>-br>-b bad: not large enough to hold a whole bag of cherriesbr>br>good: large enough to hold a whole bag of cherriesbr>br>bad: not large enough to hold a whole bag of cherriesb
- Because the OXO has a shield, I believe it does a better job of containing any juice that squirts out during the process.

This is not a toy or something to be messed with
5/5

The rumors that cherries will simply depit themselves in submission when they see this ferocious machine are false, and unfortunately, the pitter is only as good as the person who uses it. This thing, on the other hand, is not a toy. Expect unrivaled cherry pitting responsiveness, a curved ergonomic handle, a satisfying click, and the brilliance of a pit-free pitter. At a breakneck speed, you can get a free cherry. br>br>However, don't get carried away. It's entirely your fault if you don't center your cherry before plunging, and the pit will remain.

Even though it's simple to use, it's still a bit of a I've only used it to pit olives in the past
3/5

It usually works, but each olive must be loaded precisely or you will have to try again. It gets a little messy after a while, but it's still better than other methods I've tried when I have a lot of them to do. This worked better than the Progressive multi-six pitter I bought, which didn't work at all with olives. It is more expensive.

It's quite effective
5/5

I used to have one, but it was completely worn out. I searched and searched until I came across the same one. I could have chosen any of the 100, but this one appealed to me the most.

One is mine, and one was given to me as a present
5/5

This is a useful, light-weight, and small item that fits easily into my "overflowing" kitchen drawer. It works great with the cherries from my dwarf cherry tree. It's convenient because unlike most others, it doesn't require you to attach it to a tabletop. Durable and simple to maintain.
