It has happened to me with other strainers as well. Quinoa is the only time I use these. The strainers have come in handy for everything. Even though a few grains get stuck some times, they have been great!

Even with a handful of pasta, it couldn't handle it. selected a brand product because I wanted durability, but it did not meet my expectations.

When it comes to washing small items or grains like rice, quinoa, etc. , this strainer is not recommended. The mesh meets the circular ring on its outside, so small grains can get trapped between the mesh and rings, making them very difficult Despite featuring four basic kitchen elements, this element has an unexpected DESIGN FLAW. A 5 out of 5. Other brands can be found at a store, and if you look at the mesh and circular ring both, there is no way for anything to get stuck and u can just hit this thing on the kitchen sink a few times to remove whatever you are cleaning.
These were recommended to me by my daughter My mom has great ones and I wanted to buy them for her.
