They were still selling gaskets in the fall of 2016. I believe I only sent $5 and asked for as many gaskets as that would buy. Three of them were sent. not only the gasket, but also the entire plastic lid.
Soups and stews keep for a long time, and I get to work at 5 a.m. 30 a.m., with lunch at 1 p.m., and it's always hot. Food that isn't liquid or in a sauce, such as baked fish and vegetables, is still warm 7 hours later. 8 hours later, but not nearly as long as soup and liquids, which remain extremely hot for hours.
I have a 16-ounce Thermos King and a 16-ounce Thermos Nissan food container. You can't go wrong with either of them, in my opinion. Both are excellent at keeping items cold or hot. The Nissan is slightly taller and narrower than the Thermos King, which is slightly shorter and wider. The Thermos King comes with a jar lid (complete with fold-up spoon) and a stainless steel cap that fits over it. The only thing missing from the Nissan is the jar's plastic lid. The King appears to be insulated better (?). I'm assuming based on appearances and weight). I have the midnight blue Thermos King, which is a lovely color, almost black with a hint of blue when lit. The Nissan is entirely made of stainless steel and has a black cap. I can't comment on the SS Food Jar (plum or teal) because I don't have one, but if I had to choose between the two, I think I'd choose the King because it comes with two lids/caps and a spoon, as well as being possibly more insulated. The Thermos King keeps food hot for 9 hours and cold for 12 hours, while the food jar keeps it hot for 7 hours and cold for 9.
My children, as young as six years old, were able to open the children's thermoses with ease. I didn't have them when they were five years old. However, a young 6 year old would find this one more difficult. My eight-year-old son and my almost-seven-year-old daughter can both do it. The kid ones, on the other hand, are less difficult, and you must be careful not to overtighten them for younger children. We use them on a regular basis, and my children haven't asked me to open theirs in quite some time.

The Thermos Stainless King from Amazon is not the same as the Thermos I purchased at Target (in-store). store). Thermoses from Amazon are made of thin, cheap materials, and the plastic lid has a foul odor. The label is also unique in that it is simply taped to the jar. Furthermore, the Amazon Thermos is lighter (361 g) than the Target Thermos (400 g). I'm returning it because I believe it to be a forgery. On the left is a Target Thermos, and on the right is an Amazon Thermos.
When I received this "Thermos" jar in the color Midnight Blue, I immediately noticed that it was of poor quality in comparison to other Thermos-branded products. I have a number of different brands of products that I own. The Thermos logo on the jar is a sticker rather than an etching. This is a knock-off of a more expensive item.
I only got two of these four days ago in the mail. I thoroughly cleaned them, filled them with hot water, and sealed them for 25 minutes the day before. After that, I drained the water and replaced it with piping-hot water. hot soup. From 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , they sat in the sun in my car. 00 a. until 2: 30 p. The sun had warmed even the containers' exteriors. When I first opened them at 2 a. m. , The soup was lukewarm when we got there at 30 o'clock. I am extremely dissatisfied with these items and will be returning them. However, I give it a one-star rating because of the incredible spoon! br>br>Is it just me, or do the reviews seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum? Either the Thermos works like a charm or, in my experience, it simply does not keep things hot. I'm very intrigued.
I'm an independent individual. I'm self-employed and work out of a van doing service work, so having a hot meal ready in the afternoon is very convenient. This thermos was filled with hot soup at 8 a. m. Today it was 45 a. m. , and I ate it at 4 p. m. I had to blow on it to eat it at 50 p. m. because it was still so hot. It is not only extremely functional, but it is also beautifully designed. The height and width proportions are ideal, and it has a brushed stainless steel exterior. It is perfectly balanced, and it simply looks and feels good. Between the thermos and the stopper, there is just enough room inside the cup to fold a small paper towel to clean up after your meal. This is one of the most useful and attractive products I've ever seen. br>Updated this review on Saturday, November 7, 2020: I recently purchased a competing manufacturer's product because it was slightly larger, and I took it to work with this product, both filled with hot boiling liquid. At 1:00 p. m. , I opened the competitor's product, which was warm but not hot enough. My old THERMOS flask was still scalding hot 2 1/2 hours later! , which makes it impossible to drink without blowing on it! I can't think of a better recommendation for this product; it far outperformed the previous one, which has already been returned and replaced with a THERMOS brand item, which arrived today in a lovely olive green color.
I've had the thermos for about two years and it works great, but the plastic laminate will eventually peel off. However, I've only used it a handful of times. At first glance, the metal appears to have been colored using an anodization process. However, it is of a lower standard. It's nothing more than a laminated plastic sheet. And when it begins to crack, it creates quite a commotion. A photo of the damage is attached. br>br>Aside from that fatal flaw, the container retains heat as expected, and I believe the top silver cover can be used as a bowl, but it's just easier to eat straight from the can. The spoon is nice; the mouth is quite wide, but it's still difficult to spoon food into it without spilling down the sides.
At 8 a. m. , I placed my food inside. At 12:45 p. m. , I eat lunch in my car. 30 to 1: At best, it'll be lukewarm, making it a poor investment.
I bought two of this item, as well as two of each of the 24 oz and 10 oz container sizes. So far, it has kept foods warm for 9 hours, with soups and other liquid-based items performing best. My husband and I have been using these containers for the past three months on most weekdays and have had no problems. We both live and work in a city and rely on public transportation to get around, so our bags get tossed around and smushed, but we have had no leaks with this or the 24 oz version. br>br>This is the perfect amount of food for me, but my husband prefers the 24 oz container. PROS: br>br> br>Keeps food hot for hours as advertisedbr>Durable constructionbr>Easy to clean (for more information, see cleaning tips)br>Completely leak proof! CONS: br>br> br>"footprint" is a little large for the sizebr>Spoon is useful but more difficult to clean because it folds (I put it in the dishwasher)br>Must be careful not to overtighten the lid while food is hot or it will be difficult to open laterbr>br>HOW TO USE: br>Heat the water in the microwave or fill the container with very hot tap water. br>Close the container with the inner screwtop lid. br>Wait 10 minutes. 15 minutes (use this time to heat up whatever you'll be eating for lunch)br>Pour out water and fill with foodbr>Close inner lid (be careful how tight you screw the lid on; as it cools slightly, it becomes difficult to open)br>Wait until lunch and eat hot to warm food depending on how long it's beenbr>br>CLEANING: br>A clear silicone seal can be seen around the inner lid in the detailed image. Others have stated that they are unable to clean the area and that mold is growing as a result. I take this ring off and clean all of the parts by hand before letting them air dry. They're still going strong after nearly a year of use! If anything, I'm considering buying a few more because I'm lazy and would like to have one where I can bring in extra cold items.
