This product does exactly what it says it will do, and the inside is steel. However, the vacuum lid is made of plastic, which absorbs odors, so if you buy it to keep coffee, soup, or juice, you may want to keep it for one specific purpose. After storing coffee in mine, the plastic lid still reeked of it, even after being thoroughly cleaned.
This Thermos food jar is fantastic; it does exactly what it says on the package. After 15 minutes of testing, it was scalding hot. With less than half a teaspoon of water, you can make solid ice in 5 hours, finger-numbing cold in 24 hours, and solid ice in 12 hours. br>br>That's my third purchase of that product; I had a midnight blue a few years ago and was so pleased with it that I decided to give my parents another midnight along with a 40 oz. However, while shopping for them, I came across the hammertone and knew I had to have it. I also purchased a second 24 oz. bottle. courtesy of the Guardian Collection.
I used close-by. At 630 a. m. , I put boiling water in the pot, and it was still too hot to touch by 1 p. m. It didn't lose much heat and appears to be quite long-lasting so far.
I previously purchased two 16-ounce thermoses, which are ideal for hot soups and meals. This time, I purchased a 24oz because I required a larger container, but the 24oz did not include a spoon. This is the only thing I have a problem with.
The first is a 16-ounce size that I've had for years, and the second is this one, which I just bought. Both of these solutions are excellent. They are what I use to bring soup to work for lunch. I pre- Warm them according to the package instructions before adding them to the hot soup. When I'm ready to eat, the soup is still hot after a good six hours. There has never been a leak in either of the jars. Both satisfy me.
The lid is too small to be used as a serving size - It's a small object. I'll have to bring a bowl and a spoon to work with me. Because the soup sizes sold in stores don't always correspond to these fluid ounces, you'll either have too much soup to carry or not enough to fill you up if you buy the small cans.
This is a great size for single-serve lunch or dinner dishes. They kept the food hotter than they said. Mouth agape. Cleaning is a breeze.
As a birthday present, I purchased it. It's hoped that it performs similarly to the coffee thermos in terms of retaining heat.
