He is a truck driver, so he does not have access to a microwave for lunch. For him, this thermos has been a lifesaver! He primes it by filling it with hot/boiling water and letting it sit for about 6 minutes. During this time, he microwaves his lunch and then transfers it to a thermos. This is something he does around 5 a. m. Then, by lunchtime, his meal is still steaming. He claims it has made a significant difference. His coworkers are even discussing how they want one, which is hilarious. Stanley has always been a fantastic brand, and it is clear that they continue to be so.

Except for the plastic stopper, I really liked the Stanley Classic Food Jar. The plastic stopper had a strong enough odor that it tainted the flavor of the food jar's contents. I had no idea it came with a plastic stopper and had no way of knowing if it was BPA free.

I got one from Amazon, and it arrived promptly. I added hot water, waited about 20 hours, and then opened the lid to find that it was still warm enough. This made me happy. After that, I got a WD-like feeling. From the jar, 40 smells pungent. I investigated further and discovered that the problem was caused by the black rubber seal and the plastic lid on which the seal is mounted. I washed it twice in hot water and it now smells much better, but there is still a lingering odor. To get rid of the WD-, I guess I'll have to wash it at least twice more in hot water. 40 has a strong odor.

The threads on the outer top appear to have a design flaw because they popped loose the first time I put it on with moderate torque. The top could be easily removed after a few episodes with a gentle pull up. The threads are quite shallow, according to the inspection - The thread on the old Thermos bottle it's replacing is only about 1/3 the depth of the thread on this one. br>br>Also, about 1/4 inch above actually seating on the bottle rim, the inner top becomes quite resistant to tightening. To finish tightening, a lot of torque is required, making the end spot difficult to feel. br>br>While the bottle itself appears to be sturdy and effective, Today is my return date.

Keeps my hot tea and coffee hot for 10 hours, then cools down to 3 hours. br>I haven't tried putting hot food in it yet, but it's perfect for local and long-distance truck drivers.

Despite the fact that it's labeled as a food jar, I got this for my husband as a gift, and he uses it for coffee and tea. It's easier to clean than a traditional thermos because of the wide mouth. It is extremely durable and keeps beverages hot all day. Stanley backs up their products with a solid warranty. The wide mouth thermos is a better size because it isn't as tall and is more stable, so it doesn't look like you're walking around with a gigantic thermos, even though the description says otherwise. It's absolutely fantastic!.

I use mine for soups because I make a lot of soup in the fall and winter, and this container is my first choice because of the insulation and leakproof design. Soups and other hot foods keep for hours, according to my calculations. Food must be kept warm for 7 hours. If you want to pour food or drink out, I recommend bringing a separate container. I found the cup-like lid to be insufficiently substantial. The tidy-up I like the larger size and the various color options provided, and it's quick, easy, and straightforward to set up. Friends and family will appreciate the food jar as a gift for birthdays, Christmas, or camping.

This is an amazing product! To begin with, it has a large mouth that allows you to pour soups and other hot liquids, as well as semi-liquids, into it. You can easily pour liquid foods out of a container. It also has excellent heat retention properties. It keeps my soups steaming hot throughout the day. It's also exceptionally well-made and a very safe product (it won't blow up!). My purchase has made me extremely happy. The money spent is well spent. I've had other Stanley thermos bottles that lasted a decade or more, but I've never had one with a wide mouth to accommodate foods, and I'm glad I finally bought this one. This is fantastic! It'll make you happy.
