It is made of plastic.
I'm not sure because it doesn't say on the product or online.
It is best to keep the food warm throughout the day, so it is recommended.
I bought three to put in my lunchboxes. They're all lacking in the ability to keep food warm. We eventually got new ones and got rid of the old ones. It was a waste of money.

I bought two small thermoses for my children's lunches. Both thermoses have now been completely sealed shut - with food clinging to the insides - Despite our and the schools' repeated attempts to open. It's all about the strands. When you try to open it, it just circles around and closes again. We can return one but not the other because of a 30-day return policy. the policy of the day HELP FROM THE COMPANY, PLEASE!.
It was my fault for not paying attention. I tried to open it as soon as I got it. The lid was adamant in its refusal to move. It wouldn't open even after I put it in hot water. Even after having my husband try it, it would not open. Even after using a rubber opening device, it would not open. It's as if they used superglue to keep it shut. I have to return it. Very let down.
This piqued my interest! When I open the container after three washes and several days with the top off, there is still a strong paint thinner odor. I will not allow my daughter to eat her school lunches from this container. What the hell is going on here? I'll have to give it back to you.
This was purchased for my 3-year-old's preschool lunches. I have a 10oz thermos brand food container with a princess design and a 9oz Mira purple food container at the moment. br>SIZE Despite being about the same general size as my princess thermos, it holds slightly less in terms of volume. The 10oz holds a full can of chef boy r dee, whereas the Mira wastes some. br>WARMTH I haven't tried it myself, but when I preheat both the thermos and the Mira with warm water, my daughter says her food stays warm for about 3-hours at lunch. 4 hours laterbr>MATERIAL: Like most thermoses, this one has a metal interior and a plastic lid. It has a nice silicone or neoprene feel to it on the outside. It's easier to hold on to. It didn't dent, pop open, or break when I dropped it when it was full. br>LEAK: Despite the fact that I've only used it a few times and only used one can of spaghetti, it hasn't leaked. However, I had a hard time screwing the lid on properly. Because lids don't always go on straight, if you had a thin liquid like soup, it could have leaked. br>CLEANING It says hand wash only, which is a joke because cleaning the inside of the lid is impossible. The lid was stained, as was the seal ring, after only one use. I washed it twice and even put it in the dishwasher with the top lip. To get into the tight space of the lid, I'll have to soak and purchase pipe cleaners or a bottle brush. br>In addition, my daughter's teacher wrote a note stating that they had a difficult time closing the lid when it was empty, and that they almost couldn't open it at all. br>br>Instead, my advice is to purchase the thermos brand.
Although I like the color and feel of this container, I had to discard it. It was difficult to close, and if there was any liquid inside, it would always leak. My daughter was never able to open it when I put food in it. I even put the lid on so loosely that I was afraid it would fall off, but I received a note from my mother telling me not to send that container to school any longer because no one could open it.
It's simple for her to open (the silicon coating makes it a little grippy), and it's short, wide, and shallow enough for her to eat from. The portion size is just right - She never runs out because she always has a little left over. It does not leak and maintains the temperature of the food. Cleaning is a breeze. Love it!.
My toddler's lunch bag is just the right size! Keeps food warm for at least 6 hours (possibly longer; we have never used it for more than 6 hours)!.
Years ago, I purchased a larger model for my older son. I was overjoyed to discover that it was available in a 9oz size for my 6-year-old. It's made it a lot easier to send warm lunches to school. I recommend filling it with boiling hot water for 10 minutes while it is empty. After you've emptied the water, put your hot food inside. It keeps the food warm, not piping hot, for 4 1/2 hours.
