Does exactly what I was looking for! This was used to hang a personalized cutting board that I was given as a gift

We only wanted to use it as a decorative item because it had my grandmother's recipe engraved on it in her handwriting. When I first saw the size of it, I was concerned that it would not work, but it did. The hook that goes over the edge of a plate barely held together for this purpose, but it did the job. It would look much better on a plate in its original form. Many reviews concerned me, but the issues mentioned appeared to be the same regardless of brand; I tried to carefully expand it, but it is on springs and can (and did) spring back. It wasn't a big deal because I had anticipated it and opened slowly. I simply straightened it out and tried again, and it worked the second time; it had been hanging for several months, so I'm pleased.

I got rid of my old ones

These were much stronger and more secure than my previous ones, but I discarded them. I didn't want to take a chance with plates that were worth around $100 each.

Outstanding worth These were ideal--and at a fantastic price! But I had to return them because they didn't fit the plates I wanted to hang (they were too thick and heavy)

There was only one of these. This is a deceptive advertisement. I feel like I've been duped. There should be two plate hangers in total. For two of them, the price is right on the money. However, only one message was sent. To make matters worse, I really needed two and they had to match, so I had to buy them all over again just to get two. Each time, I was only sent one holder. Rip off. I strongly discourage you from doing so.
