Ideally, a shelf that slides out would give me access to my cutting boards within the cabinet's 9"w x 22"d dimension. After using it twice, it popped out the back screw after two uses, as of the time of writing this. There is a problem with the screws, so I need to get larger ones. I see a design flaw in the fact that there is no lip on the back of the sliding shelf, so the cutting boards slide back a bit. This design flaw is also exacerbated by the fact that the bottom is merely a grate, so any small cutting boards you have will slide right through it, preventing the shelf from sliding smoothly. A small half shelf was originally in the cabinet, so we had to remove that with a hammer so that this would fit. I think it's now a much better way to use the space. I'm willing to put up with the board sliding off the back slightly to gain the benefit of having the board slide out. It's sturdy and the dividers are adjustable, so it's good for a lot of things. In the process of redoing our kitchen, I resolved to relieve my back pain so that I would not have to worry about it. Lifting up large items to reach the bottom where the cookie sheet or baking pan I need is not my favorite thing to do. The best of joys! My favorite thing about these racks is that they pull out! The ones I ordered for my dad's house are wonderful as well. I installed them and he also loves them. It was difficult for him to reach low cabinets, and he never used them because he couldn't get down on the floor to reach them. Now that he has these racks, he is able to easily reach low cabinets. Easy installation and I love that they keep my cookie sheets and cutting boards organized and that I can easily slide them out with my foot or hand.
