Broccoli was my first attempt. I cooked it according to the instructions, and it came out perfectly. Then, on the first two layers of corning french white ovals, we steamed cod. I put warm rice from another meal on top of the rice bowl that was provided. The fish was served in a 16-ounce French white. ovals. The 16oz. and 23oz. options are available. The ovals are a perfect fit. It took 25 minutes to cook the fish. At the age of 20, I could have gotten rid of everything. Overall, a fantastic meal. Broth, ginger, garlic, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, aminos, and mirin were combined to make a sauce. Drain the water from the fish sauce on top- On the side, there's broccoli and rice--YUM!.
This is an excellent unit that is simple to operate. Simply fill the base with water, place the tray on top, fill the first basket with vegetables, then fill the second basket with rice using the small tray that comes with it. Cover it with a lid. Set the timer for about 40 minutes, and when it's done, you'll hear a bell.
Raw vegetables do not agree with my palate. For me, this is the PERFECT solution. I adore being able to cook an entire meal on autopilot in under 30 minutes.
You have three trays that are not labeled; they must be stacked in a specific order, which requires trial and error; they should be labeled top, middle, and bottom.
For all of our vegetables, we love this steamer. It's simple to use and clean, and it has a substantial feel to it. Not the flimsy baskets we've had in the past.
It can steam a variety of foods at once, but it's mostly used to steam vegetables and reheat meats that have been cooked on a smoker.
My vegetables become softer as a result of using this product.
So far, everything has gone well, and there have been no issues.
