When it comes to oil life, think CarWASH, which is made up of: br>Carbonbr>Waterbr>Airbr>Saltbr>Heatbr>br>All of which degrade oil over time; filtration and storage of used oil in an air-tight container. It will last for a long time in a tightly sealed container; however, if the food begins to taste bitter, discard it.
Yes - During frying, the "fry" switch keeps the hot oil separate from the plastic oil storage container. The switch is turned to drain and the oil flows into the storage container once it has cooled.
As far as I can tell, the filter is made of wire mesh and does not need to be replaced. The rubber seal around it is the only component that may need to be replaced at some point. I hope this information is useful. I've had mine for a few months and I'm really happy with it. The filter system and the ability to drain and store your oil in the plastic container until you need it again are the best features of this fryer. It's a breeze to clean and change the oil.
Yes, cleaning it is a breeze. The entire reservoir, including the heating element, lifts out of the unit, making it easy to clean.

This was something my parents had requested for Christmas, so I bought it for them. They couldn't get the oil to heat up above 300 degrees when they finally tried it after the holidays. I went over a few weeks later to give it a shot, and we double-checked that everything was connected and that all of the knobs were turned to their proper positions, but we still couldn't get the oil to heat up above 300 degrees, so we checked with the cooking thermometer. We got in touch with T- After a few phone calls, we were told that we needed to send the item to them for inspection, and that once they reviewed it, they would let us know whether we could get a new one or if there was nothing wrong with it, they would return it to us. I explained that we have not been able to use the item because it is still under warranty, and that something is wrong with it, and that we need a new one because this one was faulty the first time we tried it. The results are still being awaited.
The return window had just passed me by. I've never had a problem after several uses. However, it had a hole or leak near the lever last night, after the oil cooled and began draining into the lower basket. We found it when the oil leaked all over the kitchen cabinet, around the cook top, down the cabinet door, inside the cabinet and across the floor. We had oil all over the place, and cleaning it up took an hour. I'm not sure if the plastic basket was meant to hold oil or why it began to leak. I recycled the old oil and added new oil last night to cook fries, so the basket has been empty for nearly a month. I can no longer rely on this device and will have to purchase a new one.
It is a good idea to use a filter. While the unit is filtering the oil, do not tilt it. It's going to spill. Residential deep fat fryer that is pretty darn good (if not the best) on the market today. The heating element is the only part that cannot be washed. This is a big deal for fryers because the oil gets nasty over time and usage. The top of the design does not have a rubber gasket that can become clogged with oil or food particles. At the right temperature, the food cooks to perfection. Dishwasher heat can be used to clean the plastic oil container. It makes no difference whether you cook with the lid on or off (I do). The cost is reasonable in comparison to the quality of the product. I've used a lot of fryers over the years, and this is by far the best.
Okay, this is a colossal beast. It's not my fault that I didn't pay attention to the measurements, but sheesh! The reservoir adds a significant amount of height to the structure. br>The bad news is that the cooking depth available between the basket on the heating element and the "max oil" line is quite limited. It's barely enough to cover a breaded chicken drummette of average size. As a result, you'll have to turn almost every item you fry manually. It also places the heating element in direct contact with the fry basket, putting it very close to your food, potentially causing even more uneven cooking. Also, because the fry basket does not sit level on the heating element, the oil depth for items at the far end of the basket is even lower. br>br>Easy to use and heats up quickly. The drain functioned flawlessly and made cleaning out the crusty bits a breeze. I like that you can clean the cooking chamber on your own without having to worry about electrical parts getting wet. br>br>It was fine to dump the filtered oil back into the chamber. Oil will come out the filter port if you tilt it too far; there is a recessed "ditch" in the top that caught the oil, but you still have to wipe down the top. br>br>In general, I wouldn't recommend buying this unless you despise dealing with dirty oil.
My children suffer from severe food sensitivities and allergies. To deal with all of the foods they are unable to consume, we always eat at home, and I prepare everything from scratch. As a result, I spend most of my time in the kitchen. I am a firm believer in using the best tool for the job whenever possible, so I invested in T-. FR8000 EZ Clean 3 is a product developed by fal. Deep frying items such as French fries, chicken, bread, and taco shells in a 5 liter oil capacity Stainless Steel Deep Fryer with Professional Immersion Heating Element and Unique Filtration System. This fryer replaced an older model that I had bought in 2005 and had become worn out. WHICH ITEMS ARE INCLUDED IN THE BOX: br>br>WHICH ITEMS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE BOX: br> The T- A fairly large rectangular stainless steel "box" holds oil and the removable heating element in the Fal deep fryer, which is shaped like a rectangular box with handles on both sides. In the "box" over the heating element, a submersible stainless steel basket fits. The heating element is connected to a plastic unit that houses the electrical components as well as the temperature control knobs. A plastic holding bin for oil after it passes through the filter when filtration is used is hidden beneath the stainless steel box and acts as a drawer. Instructions and a detachable cord are also included. WHAT I LIKE: br>br> Except for the heating unit (and the cord), everything on this fryer goes in the dishwasher! This is fantastic for cleaning the fryer! In the twenty-first century, I believe that everything should be dishwasher safe, but that is not the case. T-, you did an excellent job. Fal! br>br>The oil storage bin is now detachable (the lid can be lifted off). This is a significant improvement over my previous model. When I put some filtered coconut oil in the plastic holding bin in the winter and it solidified, I discovered the lid on my previous one was not removable. I was unable to remove the oil until the summer, and I am delighted to see this design change, as coconut oil is the healthiest frying oil, and I use it exclusively. I can now pop off the lid of the plastic holding bin and scrape the solidified coconut oil into the fryer if I need to. I appreciate the design change because it is far more sanitary to store oil in a closed container rather than the fryer's "box. " This fryer can hold a lot of oil as well as a lot of food. I can easily fry two potatoes' worth of French fries in a single batch. br>br>I love the removable drip basket that can be hung on the side. It has the same appearance as those found in restaurants and performs the same functions. As a result, I'm not splattering as much oil on my plates. This fryer can be filled with a small amount of oil. br>br> I purchased two large bottles of coconut oil from Costco and filled the fryer in 12 minutes. With this fryer, I can store and reuse the oil multiple times, allowing me to use the healthiest oil without feeling guilty. br>br>The dial's temperature readings have now been etched into the plastic. The numbers on my previous one were simply painted on, and they came off within the first few months of owning the fryer. I'm relieved T- With the current version of the fryer, Fal has addressed this issue. WHICH I DO NOT LIKE: br>br>WHICH I DO LIKE: br>br>WHICH I DO NOT LIKE: br>br> The frying area itself isn't very large. I tried to make taco shells out of homemade tortillas using a mold that I own the other day. Because I didn't have enough oil to submerge the whole thing, I had to fry one side at a time. This fryer, in my opinion, could be a lot deeper. This appliance would be a 5 star if it had a few more inches of frying space depth. br>br>The cord is too easily removed from the fryer. It's probably a safety feature, but it's inconvenient. br>br>I bought T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt T-shirt FR8000 EZ Clean 3 is a product developed by fal. I purchased the 5 Liter Oil Capacity Stainless Steel Deep Fryer with Professional Immersion Heating Element and Unique Filtration System at full price and am reviewing it on my own initiative; overall, I think it is a fantastic fryer and would strongly recommend it.
