Questions & Answers

How much voltage is there?

120 volt

Is it audible when it's turned on?

Not in the least.

Is teflon or ptfe used in the nonstick coating?

This model (AF150) has a Nano-ceramic nonstick coating, according to BJ's advertising description. Teflon is something I despise because it is not only a waste of money but it also breaks down when cooked at temperatures above 300 degrees. But she. It peels off and gets into your food, and it's poisonous to humans if eaten. Teflon should not be made available for purchase.

What is the product's material composition?

Teflon is used to coat the basket and the rack.

It's a great air fryer, but it's not quite right for me
3/5

This is an excellent air fryer. It's better built than most, works well, cleans up quickly, and the Ninja brand commands a lot of respect, so I think it's worth more than three stars. However, I've discovered that I've been spoiled, and there are a few areas where I've downgraded it slightly. It is necessary to pre-heat it, which the Philips does not do. Food must be turned or shaken (which the Philips does not require), but there is no indication when it is time to do so (unlike the Instant Vortex). Food does not cook as evenly as it does in the others, which could be related in part. I found that Ninja s suggested cooking temperatures and times are a little off, and that it was better to use the usual rule of thumb to use a temperature 25ºF This is also quite tall, which may be a problem for those who don't have a lot of counter space that isn't obstructed by cabinets. If I could, I'd give it three and a half stars for those reasons, but I still believe it deserves more than three, so four it is. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. br>br> I hope it was of use to you.

I was let down
3/5

This item was purchased because I liked the one I had previously. My original was of much higher quality. It lacked the basket as well. I gave it back to you. I found a similar item for $70 less that was of comparable quality to my original.

It's all right
4/5

Today I gave it a shot and made frozen tater tots. I followed the instructions on the package, but I'd reduce the cooking time by at least 5 minutes. Cooking them for the recommended 20 minutes made them extra crispy, which isn't bad, but it may be too much for people with sensitive teeth. Oh, and it's loud when it's on, so you'd have to shout to have a conversation with it if you were standing next to it. That's how loud it is.

It's overpriced and the design isn't perfect, but it gets the job done
3/5

As a result, air fryers are small convection ovens. There's a basket for storing the food, a heating coil above it, and a fan to circulate the hot air. If the oven (whether it's a toaster oven or a full-fledged oven) isn't working (whether it's a toaster oven or a You already have an "air fryer" if your oven (of any size) has a fan in it. The rest is nothing more than marketing gimmickry. br>br>Perhaps you do not already own a convection oven. Or perhaps you simply have so much empty space in your kitchen that you require additional appliances to fill it. I admire you if it's the latter. For the rest of you, I'd advise you to make sure you're not buying a useless appliance. br>br>Does it work, then? Yes, I believe that is the case. I've tried chicken wings, chicken breasts, tater tots, french fries, breaded okra, and I've even used it to toast a couple of sandwiches. The unit is woefully uneven when it comes to cooking. It cooks quickly on the outside, but takes a long time to cook in the middle. To combat this, the manual recommends moving things around in the bin every few minutes and/or adding oil to the food to speed up the cooking process. It becomes tedious to move the food every few minutes, but it may work for larger items. However, I still can't get a consistent cook on french fries. I sliced up a few potatoes, sprinkled them with salt, and stirred them around every couple of minutes the first time. However, because there were so many little potato sticks in there, some in the middle stayed in the middle and some on the outside stayed on the outside, you ended up with some charred fries, some nicely cooked fries, and some that still tasted like raw potato after 20 minutes. I lightly coated the potato sticks with oil the second time, but I still had the same problem, so that wasn't a solution. br>br>Because the tots and wings were pre-cooked, they turned out just as well as they would in the oven. cooked. The okra was supposed to be deep fried, but I wanted to see how it compared in the air fryer. They came out pretty nice (though still uneven, like the fries) after being lightly tossed in a little avocado oil before cooking. Although not as good as deep frying, this dish is still delectable and worth repeating. Because the chicken breasts were skinless, they dried out quickly, which was a bad thing. Overall, I'd say that while the air fryer does what it's supposed to do, it's not quite the magical device that everyone claims it to be. And it's only "healthier" if you replace a deep fry with it. Those tater tots aren't any healthier in the air fryer than they would be in the oven (as the bag's instructions suggested). The same can be said for french fries. Is it true that you cut your own potatoes? Sure, air frying them instead of deep frying them in a vat of oil is healthier. Have you ever purchased a bag of frozen french fries? Those, on the other hand, had already been fried before being frozen. As a result, there are no health benefits to using an air fryer instead of an oven to cook them. br>br>This air fryer is missing a few features that I wish it had:
- A much more appealing presentation. The one that is currently in place is a disaster. That's all it does is show you how much time is left. When you change the temperature, it briefly displays the new setting before returning to the remaining time. I want a display that can show more information, and I want to be able to see it all at once. I'd like to know how much time is left. Elapsed time would be useful as well, because if you add more time in the middle of the cook, you may lose track of how long it's been running. Both the target and current temperatures should always be visible. "Preheat to 375F" is written on some of the recipes (even those included in the box). How do you know when it's the right temperature if you don't have a temperature display?
- A more effective control pad. I despise the cheap buttons concealed behind the thin plastic film. You KNOW the film will crack after a certain number of presses. They do it all the time; I can see what my pressure cooker will look like in a few months just by looking at the buttons with the cracked/missing film. Why? Simply provide me with genuine buttons!
- The bin. It's nice enough, but the bottom half of the air fryer comes out in one piece, with the plastic and handle permanently attached. It's enormous, and dealing with it is a pain. Why couldn't there just be a liner that slides out for cleaning on the inside? br>br>Now, if this were one of the less expensive air fryers, I'd probably overlook the cheap button panel, lack of features, and effectively useless LCD display, as well as the uneven cooking. However, this is not the case. There are a lot of air fryers on the market, and this one is at least $50 more expensive than many others, including ones with more features like wattage control, delay and preheat options, and so on.

The instructions were difficult to follow and were much smaller than I had hoped
4/5

I returned the airfryer because it was too small for the foods I wanted to prepare. It appears to be of excellent quality, as evidenced by the way it is put together. However, in many ways, the instructions and ease of use of the product were unclear. The only and most important meal appeared to be fries. I had to cut two pieces of bacon when I cooked it. Because I didn't have clear instructions online or in the booklet, I overcooked the majority of it. Also, the round divider known as the crisper is difficult to pull out or in when hot, which is a problem. Someone else might be able to understand, but I ordered Corsori and it's immediately larger, square, with simple instructions and a large number of recipes, as well as a fold out of each meat or veggie setting.

This device is fantastic
5/5

It really brings out the crispness in the things we'd like to re-create. Heat the oil and fry it. It takes only a few minutes to make croutons from bread. The potatoes turn out fantastically. Fish too. It saves a lot of time and effort when it comes to frying things like onions and other vegetables.

The best purchase I've ever made for my kitchen
5/5

I'm serious. BUY IT! This air fryer is one of my favorites. Tonight I cooked ribeye steaks, and they were the best steak I've ever had! Hands down superior to Texas Roadhouse, which is my favorite steakhouse. I saw a YouTube video for a simple recipe that looked delicious, and I decided to try it. My steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful, as I prefer it medium rare or medium. I didn't have to wait for the rain to pass before I could get the grill ready! Clean-up is a breeze, and I was able to fit two large steaks into the container. I'm looking forward to cooking and baking with this Ninja! If it's two, I think it's a decent size. This item is good enough for 3 people, but if you have a larger family, you may need a larger size. I'm going to buy this for my family as Christmas gifts because it's that good. I was not compensated or given a discount in exchange for this review. I'm simply disseminating information: You will not be sorry!.
