Questions & Answers

Is it a cigarette machine?

When it drinks, it will only smoke.

What is the best food to use with the dehydrate function and how do I use it?

I purchased a cookbook specifically for use with the Vortex Plus. Simply choose "Dehydrate" and set the temperature to 160°F for beef jerky, according to the instructions. After that, set the timer for three hours (I haven't tried it yet).

There were no extra accessories included with mine. What are your favorite accessories, and where did you get them? Are you looking for a dehydrating tray, for example?

On Amazon, look for INFRAOVENS' XL accessory packages. Every time the IV is used, I put the drawer liner in. Mesh and silicon mats are included in a package that can be used to dehydrate. A raised metal shelf was also added to create a double layer.

Although the instructions are basic, the air fryer is fantastic! First and foremost, please accept my apologies for the delay in this review's publication

I got this fryer about a week ago and had no idea what I was going to do with it because. Before now, I had never used an air fryer. Furthermore, THIS MODEL DOES NOT COME WITH RECIPES! There isn't a single thing, not a single thing, not a single thing, not a Because the Instant Vortex does not provide you with any recipes, you'll have to look for them online. They'll give you a general time and temperature guide, but that's all they'll give you. br>br>In fact, the bare-bones design of this air fryer is my biggest gripe. instructions for the bones As a result, much of what you do with this air fryer will have to be learned by trial and error. You won't get burned if you accidentally touch the top of the fryer. The back vent is warm as well, but not scorching. This machine appears to be very safe to use if the safety instructions are followed. br>br>We also managed to avoid blowing a fuse while using the microwave and the air fryer at the same time, which was impressive, but your results may vary. br>br>All right, so let's get into how I used my air fryer for the first time as someone who had never used one before.

- The raw wings were seasoned with pepper and salt. Then we used Pam cooking oil to grease the tray and basket. EDIT: (Be careful not to use PAM to grease the tray. ) Your food, not your tray, can be sprayed. Use a substitute for PAM if you don't want to use PAM. )br>br>- )br>br>- )br>br>- ) We came across a 24-minute recipe on the internet. We turn the wings over and cook the other side at the twelve-minute mark. br>br>- After placing the food in the tray and setting the fryer for 12 minutes, we quickly discovered that the fryer must first PREHEAT, and then it said "ADD FOOD" after it completed its preheat cycle. " Whoops. Regardless, the wings remained in place.

- The fryer then said "TURN FOOD OVER" after about 5 minutes. " We had no idea this prompt would be given to us. So we took the basket out to check on the wings; they were cooking but not quite done, so we flipped them.

- When the timer went off, we removed the basket and discovered that the wings were halfway done, which was fantastic! We put them back in for another 12 minutes, but we made a mental note to put them in for 24 minutes next time and wait for the fryer to tell us when it was time to flip them. Also, unlike when I take something out of the oven, I didn't get a blast of hot air. AT ALL TIMES, I felt comfortable handling the fryer and the basket.

- After another twelve minutes, it was time to taste the wings to see if they were thoroughly cooked or if we were in danger of contracting salmonella.

- The answer was a resounding YES! The chicken wings were fully cooked. The outside of the skin was crisp, while the inside was juicy and flavorful. The excess oil dripped from the wings and collected in the basket's bottom. Awesome!

- Dumping the remaining oil into a bag and cleaning the basket and grill with paper towels and water were required for cleanup. br>br>FOLLOWING THAT, WE TRYED COOKING SALMON ON THE BAKE SETTING.

- Using Pam, grease the grill. EDIT: PAM SHOULD NOT BE USED ON THE GRILL. PAM may be used on food, but not on the grill tray. This, according to legend, begins to eat away at the tray's coating. Whoops! This is something I recently discovered.

- Pop 1. 6 pounds of salmon are placed in the basket. (We waited for the preheat this time)br>br>- I believe it was cooked for 7 minutes at 389 degrees. I have no idea.

- When I removed the salmon, it was still raw on the inside. Whoops. Again, no recipes indicate that we have no idea what we're doing with this. Replace it in the oven for another 7 minutes.

- The salmon has finished baking and is fully cooked. We underestimated cooking time, so it's still good and flavorful. br>br>WHAT ABOUT THE BROIL, ROAST, AND REHEAT? DO YOU HAVE A DEHYDRATE FEATURE? I'm afraid I don't know. br>br>I'm afraid I'm afraid I don't know. In my house, we haven't done much with roasted, broiled, or dehydrated foods. However, if the chicken wings and salmon serve as a benchmark, I'm confident that those features will be successful. br>br>In fact, I have to say that the Instant Vortex 6- has blown me away. 1 fryer that can be used in a variety of ways It is extremely safe to use, thoroughly cooks the food, and is extremely simple to clean. br>br>If you're looking for an air fryer that has the versatility of an oven but without the hassle or increase in your gas bill, then this air fryer is a great choice! I'm very pleased with this device, and I'm looking forward to using it to cook more food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! br>br>.

Disgusting taste and odor of toxic plastic! I had high expectations for this air fryer and expected much more from this brand/company, but I'm very disappointed with my purchase
3/5

First and foremost, the air fryer itself is sleek and attractive; it is simple to operate, but it has significant design flaws. The bottom basket/rack is not secure, making food removal more difficult than it needs to be. You can't simply turn the basket over to get your food out on a plate because everything (food, bottom basket, grease) spills out and crashes to the floor. The most aggravating aspect of this air fryer, and a major deal breaker for me, is not only the foul plastic odor it emits, but also the toxic plastic flavor it imparts on the food! Because of this, everything cooked in it is inedible. It was my expectation that it would go away after a few uses, but it has not. I thoroughly cleaned all parts, ran it empty several times, ran it with a ramekin full of water and lemon juice, then water and vinegar, and cooked several rounds of food that tasted like a chemical/plastic and had to be thrown out. Very disappointed, as this is unusable in my opinion due to the foul taste and potential toxicity to my family's health. Purchases should be avoided. The smell of plastic and the taste of plastic lingered on.

MUST READ (Beware of foul odors)
5/5

A toxic chemical/plastic/rubber smell that won't go away has been mentioned in a number of reviews. This is mentioned in the owner's manual as a possibility, but it is not guaranteed. Despite the fact that no one wants that odor in their home or on their food, it is toxic. br>br>Another review stated that the "rubber shipping legs" on the tray grate should be removed before use. Although these appear to be food-grade silicone, I removed them anyway, and there have been no unpleasant odors during the initial test run or the two dishes I've prepared so far. br>br>This is a fantastic little air fryer; just take out these items and you'll be fine!.

Food absorbs an overpowering odor of hot plastic
3/5

My air fryer still has a strong odor of hot plastic after several uses, so I use it in the garage. The food, according to my husband, tastes like burned plastic. He's right, as much as I like to cook with it. Except for the taste of burnt plastic in the food, I like everything about this unit. It isn't in use any longer.

The dreadful odor of burnt plastic has reappeared
3/5

This would be fantastic if it weren't for the strong odor of burned plastic. I admit that I wish I had read more reviews on this because I would have noticed that this was a common complaint. br>At first, I assumed that when I turned it on, I had forgotten to remove some plastic packaging, which would explain the foul odor. That wasn't the end of the story. Because of the strong odor, I was afraid it would catch fire. br>I got started on the salmon asparagus and acorn squash. I liked the way the food was prepared because it was crispy and moist. You might be fine with this if the smell of plastic doesn't bother you. br>I'm returning this because it's the next day and my apartment still smells like plastic. I've cleaned, washed the floors, and diffused essential oils, but I can still smell it. A strong burnt chemical odor pervades the room. br>I can't imagine that eating food like this is good for my health. br>I chose a Cuisinart air fryer that is not made of plastic.
