Although the product claims to be orderless and tasteless, it has an offensive plastic odor. It's also bright red, as opposed to the dark red tubing I've previously had, indicating that it's most likely a different material or formulation. I bought this to use as a CO2 line for dispensing beer, but I'm afraid the smell will linger, so I'm not going to use it. I'll toss this in the garage and see what I can come up with, but it won't be related to food. I'll look for a different brand that doesn't smell as bad as this one.

Hose has a strong odor that makes me think of burnt plastic and chemicals. I unraveled the hose roll and even sat it with a fan directly on it for 48 hours, despite the fact that the listing claims there is no odor or taste. did nothing to get rid of the odor and filled the room with it. I tried pushing water out of a keg with the tubing acting as a gas line, and the plastic in the glass smelled like it was burning. Unusable in every way.

It performs as advertised in terms of functionality, but it gives off a chemical odor inside my kegerator. If you use it outside, however, it should be fine.

The hose clamps are Philips head. It worked perfectly! For storing excess hose, this is a great reusable bag.
