Questions & Answers
It was only written on the box they were shipped in that I believe it was CHINA; the actual bottle does not say.
We've never made wine before, but I don't see why they wouldn't be successful. They've got a fantastic seal on them! They held the pressure perfectly tight while we made homemade ginger ale with a lot of fizz. Sodas, kombucha, ale, beer, and kefir all benefit from this product. Give it a try with wine and let us know how it turns out.
That's fantastic! I brewed my first batch of kombucha and it came out extremely carbonated; so far, these bottles haven't had any issues with it!
Thank you for your interest in our bottle, which has a 3/4" wide opening.

The bottles arrived in what appears to be good condition, having been separated with cardboard and wrapped in bubble wrap. After removing the bubble wrap sleeves, I noticed that some of the bottles had major flaws (large bubbles, sharp edges), while others had minor flaws (small bubbles, embedded particles). I couldn't use two bottles in each of the six cases I bought because they had cracks that appeared to be stress fractures caused by improper cooling. Because I prefer swing top bottles, I'm still using the leftover ones to bottle my kombucha, but two of them have exploded. It had only been three days since they had consumed kombucha. The Grolsh tops, on the other hand, are fantastic! seals of excellent quality with strong handles! I wouldn't advise against purchasing this item because it provides excellent value for money, but keep in mind that you sometimes get what you pay for.
It perfectly seals. For bottling kombucha, I bought 24 of these grolsch-style bottles. They are in perfect working order. Advantages: br>br>
- Glass that is extra thick. I haven't had any bottles burst due to pressure, but I have had a few batches with a lot of carbonation in the second ferment.
- The nozzle is made of stainless steel and is attached to the machine.
For making homemade kombucha, I purchased these self-sealing glass bottles. They do a good job of serving their purpose. I intend to use them to make homemade beer in the near future. Advantages: br>br> br>The bottles are appealing and present themselves well. br>The seal is good and keeps the carbonation in the bottle. br>The bottles are thick and sturdy, with no signs of breaking or cracking. br>It's simple to drink out of. br>The locking mechanism is sturdy and easy to operate. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Because the neck is so narrow, cleaning it is difficult. br>When opening to release pressure, even when opening slowly, a small amount of liquid with carbonated drinks is sprayed out. br>br>These are something I'd buy again.
After ordering three more sets of glass bottles from other vendors and seeing packing methods that defied logic, I was astounded by the packing job. Naturally, this resulted in a slew of obvious mishaps and dangerously shattered glass. These guys are the best in the business when it comes to packaging. They're the only online vendors I'd feel comfortable ordering from, so I'll be buying all of my glass bottles from a physical store from now on.
This type of bottle and the wide mouth bottle are both in my collection. Use these bottles if you prefer a fizzy flavor. These bottles didn't appeal to me at first. I had a hard time putting my fruit in the right place. It was causing a lot of discomfort in my neck. I now use a funnel to puree my fruit. After that, I add my Kombucha to the mix. There will be no more clogging of the neck. I'm a lot more content right now.
Hairline cracks were noticed in a few of the bottles, according to one reviewer. Please don't make me regret not reading that review before purchasing. I didn't look for cracks in the bottles. Before one of my kombucha bottles exploded, I had made several batches. br>br>4/4/21 br>br>4/4/21 br>br>4/4/21 br> I've had four bottles explode while making kombucha in the year that I've had this product. I'm throwing the rest away today and ordering more of a higher-priced brand that has been prone to explosions.
I haven't finished my ferment yet, so I haven't had a chance to test these out yet. So I'll update my review once I've used them. In the meantime, I like the look and feel of these bottles and can't wait to bottle my wine for family gifts. The bottles have a nice appearance and a solid feel to them. When I'm ready to bottle, I plan on sterilizing with my dishwasher on the sterilize setting, so cleaning should be simple. They arrived quickly and were well-packaged, with bubble wrap sleeves on each one and dividers in the box.
One of the 12 bottles had the bail detached from the bottle when it arrived. I had to reshape it to fit into the detents on the bottle's neck, but I'm not convinced it's the detent, not the bail, that's the problem. When I put it under pressure, I'll know more.
