After a few uses, I noticed rust, but it was easily remedied by hand drying with a towel. My issue is that when I shake the bottle, the plastic seal inside the lid does not keep the liquid from flying all over the kitchen. Most of the lids' plastic has already broken down.
No glass container can be put in the freezer. When water freezes, it expands in every direction. It doesn't mean it won't happen again just because it didn't this time. These also have necked down openings, which means the water will expand and jam against the sloped sides, cracking it. br>br>If you want to freeze something, use disposable soda bottles that you can throw away once the plastic has been stretched by the freezing. Even plastic bags can be used.
Hello there,br>The lids can be reused for a long time. They are a good lid. We adore your bottles, so have fun with them!
The diameter of this lid is 56mm. It is compatible with both these and the brand's smaller bottles.

The opening of the bottle is 56 cm, according to the description. Wrong. The opening is only 50cm in length. I'm looking for bottles with lids that I can swap out. I already have four milk bottles that I prefer, but I can't seem to locate the lids for them. I purchased replacement lids that are 56 cm in length, but they are too large for these and other bottles I own. It's pointless to buy a reusable bottle if you can't get new lids. I'll be returning these.
The glass bottles are of good quality. I like how it has a large mouth that makes cleaning a breeze. They're also quite attractive! However, I purchased these believing that I would be able to use them for the second fermentation of Kombucha brewing, but I was mistaken. The lid isn't airtight enough to keep the carbonation in the bottle. The claim on this item's listing that it's "Great for Kombucha Brewing" is a little misleading in my opinion. I suppose it'll suffice for the first fermentation or if you don't mind the lack of carbonation? I also noticed that the lids are supposed to be single-use only, according to the packaging. When I made my purchase, I don't recall reading this. For many people, this might be a deal breaker.
These were just delivered. I'm happy to see that these appear to be high-quality glass bottles. Then I read the information sheet that came with the bottle and went to their website, where they make it very clear that all of their caps are single-use only. However, Amazon does not state that. These bottles were designed for canning, and reusing them will result in a leaky seal. Only on their website do they state that while the bottles are dishwasher safe, the caps are not. I looked on Amazon for replacement lids and found them. For $17, I bought a four-pack of bottles. For $14, Bormioli sells a three-pack of 56mm bottle caps. So four caps would cost around $19. The bottles appear to be an afterthought. The caps, after all, must be the real prize, especially since the Amazon listing says the identical replacement lids are dishwasher safe. All in all, I'm hoping to be able to use these for milk, juices, and other chilled beverages. I'm just disappointed that companies don't include important details before making a purchase and don't know how to price their products fairly.
According to other reviews, the packaging claims that the lids are single-use. I didn't notice this when I bought them because it wasn't printed on the packaging. This is an absolute no-no. Replacement lids are not available on Amazon. I haven't found a suitable plastic substitute; the bottles are fine, but I don't require a bottle without a lid.
BUT. These are AMAZING bottles! It's the lids that are the source of the problem. The insides of the lids can easily be scraped, causing the paint to chip off in a short period of time. The lid turns a dingy color over time. Worse yet, the manufacturer appears to be aware of the problem and offers replacement lids for $6 for a set of three! The bottles, by the way, are packaged in fours. It's nearly impossible to track down (other) replacement lids. The lid's diameter (56mm) is unusual. I recently ordered pop-on plastic milk bottle lids, but they have yet to arrive so I can see if they fit. I gave this a 3-star rating due to the lid issue. star. If not for the lids, it would have been a five-star rating. Simply be aware of these issues as a buyer.
The bottle is nearly perfect, and it is only used for Almond Milk. The lids are in desperate need of attention. br>I bought them in June, and the insides of the lids have started to discolor. I'm not bothered by the discoloration, except that it appears grayish black, which makes me wonder if it's mold. They're always in use and kept in the fridge. And washed on a regular basis. The lids' exteriors are in good shape and appear to be brand new. So I'm on the lookout for some replacements, either in stainless steel or BPA-free plastic. Replacement lids are available for this product, but I believe they would be a waste of money if they were not going to last that long (these have been in use for about 4 months). I'll say it again: I'm very happy with the bottles. Thank you very much.
They were fantastic at first! When I make lime-flavored sparkling water, I use them. I put lime packets in the bottles, then add sparkling water (from a sodastream), close the bottles, turn them upside down and back, and store them in the refrigerator to be consumed the next day. I noticed that a couple of the lids had started to rust after only a week, and I've looked all over for replacement lids with no luck. The seals have broken down after a few months, and the fizz comes out after a few hours (even if you can't hear the air escape). br>br>I'm finally giving in and switching to a bottle with a silicone ring and a stainless steel cap. Despite the fact that the bottles' mouths are smaller, I'm confident that the lids and O-rings will fit. Rings will be more effective in the long run.
I purchased these bottles to use as milk bottles because I find half gallon cartons to be too heavy to handle. br>They're dishwasher-safe, and I bought these baby bottle lids (Dr. Brown's Original Wide-Neck Replacement Travel Caps, 2-Pack) to go with them. White Pack (680-) P2)) is a replacement for the original lids that can be washed in the dishwasher, as suggested by another buyer. br>For the same purpose, I purchased some 1 pint glass bottles.
