It is not clumsy and feels good in your hand. In addition, the spoon is stunningly beautiful. I hang it to air dry after hand washing it.

It was disappointing

We purchased this in the fall of 1999 to replace a wooden risotto spoon from Williams-Sonoma. After two uses in the spring of 2000, The risotto spoon's hole had cracked and grown into a vertical crack. We are well-versed in the proper care of wooden cooking utensils. I would not recommend this product due to its poor design.

A RISOTTO SPOON IS NOT WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

THIS IS NOT A SPOON FOR RISOTTO. The flat edges of a risotto spoon are necessary for moving the rice; otherwise, the rice will stick to the bottom and sides of the spoon.
