I think they're for small portions because they don't seem to hold a cup, but I haven't tried them yet.

These are adorably adorable. I keep a small one in a sugar jar, a large one in a flour jar, and one for epsom salts in the last one. The medium one is just right for a jar of bath salts!.

It's nothing like what you'd expect to see in a photograph

That was not at all what I had anticipated. I returned them because they were a very light pale colored wood that did not match the photos and lacked the beautiful dark swirls and accents that olive wood is known for. I'm not implying that it wasn't all of the wood; rather, it doesn't resemble any olive wood I've ever seen.

These are lovely, and the delivery was on time. Mine appeared to be fairly dry, as if they had been sanded but not finished. I wiped them down with a generous coat of block oil before using them for a salt cellar and edibles, which really brought out the contrast in the wood grain.
