Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
When Josiah Spode opened his factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England, in 1770, his outstanding skills and creativity were realized. During his life, Josiah Spode perfected many techniques, two of which were blue underglaze printing and the formula for Fine Bone China.
In 1784, Josiah developed a method for printing blue undergalze on earthenware using hand-engraved copper plates. Spode's original blue and white designs have become some of the most collectible in the history of ceramics since the introduction of this process.
Josiah Spode is also credited with the formula for Fine Bone China; it was this formula that gave bone china its brilliant whiteness and delicate translucency in 1799, inspiring new standards in the ceramic industry.
Many of the same designs and items are now being produced, to the delight of connoisseurs and collectors, using techniques and designs derived from a wealth of authentic engravings and moulds carefully preserved within the archives. It is also thanks to these wonderful techniques that Spode is able to introduce new collections year after year, creating items for future collectors.
Portmeirion's Botanic Garden serving spoon has a striking foxglove motif on the pocrelain handle, making it a stylish addition to the dinner table. This Botanic Garden serving spoon comes in a lovely box and makes an excellent gift. The spoon is 10 inches long and should be hand-washed whenever possible.

Like the colorbr>Dislike the fact that when it's clipped on my belt, it flips around and isn't very stable.

lovely
5/5

I was looking for something floral. spring- The purpose of the time-spoons was to serve Easter dinner. They came in very nice boxes as well, almost too nice to recycle. If given as a gift, this spoon and box would make a lovely display. I think I'd prefer it if the spoon portion was a little smaller. The purchase was a great success.
