It has a finish on it.
AN AMAZON BOX WITH A POLY BAG IN IT.
I only use this bowl for salads and have never mixed anything in it. While the bowl is sturdy, I wouldn't use it with any type of mixer because the wood would be damaged. However, I believe it would be fine if you were only kneading the dough by hand.
I honestly don't recall. However, I am confident that you will enjoy this bowl, and it will look fantastic on your kitchen counter. Water from a fruit sat in it for a few days before I discovered it, as I previously stated. I even looked yesterday for any signs of warping or cracks, but there were none. I hope this has been of assistance. However, please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

THIS BOWL MAKES ME VERY HAPPY! I like how big it is; I can fit a whole watermelon in it, a pineapple in it, a bag of oranges in it, and so on. I bought it to replace another bowl that I had lost during a move. This is a far superior version to the one that was lost. I had an orange go bad in it for a few days, and the water did absolutely no harm to the bowl. As a result, it now serves as a fruit potato bowl on the kitchen counter. My purchase has made me extremely happy. So I'm confident that using it as a family salad bowl will not cause any issues.
Beautiful bowl made of solid wood. I received a lot of positive feedback. It's ideal for large family gatherings and making delicious homemade dressings while tossing is possible. This is a company from which I would purchase again. I believe that following the instructions is crucial to keeping it in good shape; no soaking is required, and it should be oiled on a regular basis.
I bought this bowl for an olive harvest gathering and it's perfect; I treated it with block oil after it arrived, which gave it a lovely deep glow (the photo was taken shortly after I oiled it). It's a big one, and it's got a lot of depth to it. I'm excited to use this in the future for large gatherings!.
One of the outside walls had a dent in it when it was delivered. Even worse, there is a gap where the walls meet, which is an eyesore and can be felt with your fingers. To put it mildly, I'm disappointed, which isn't what you'd expect after spending $100 on a wooden bowl. It couldn't have happened during shipping because everything was so well packed. It was made in this manner by the shipper, and it was sent out in this manner. From the beginning, I was given a defective product.
When I'm not using it, I use it as a decorative bowl. But it's the bowl I've been looking for for a long time. I didn't want to spend that much money, but I couldn't help myself after seeing other, less expensive options fall apart, disintegrate, unglue, and become completely useless years ago.
There were no surprises, and it was fantastic.
My mother-in-law loved it when I gave it to her for Christmas. Because we have a large family, the size is ideal!.
