This bowl is to die for! The outside has a smooth finish that has been sealed. It's not a varnish with a lot of sheen. My guess is that the majority of the oil is absorbed into the finish by walnut oil or some other oil. despite the fact that it is frequently used I've never used soap to clean this bowl: only washed Yuliya, I hope this helps.
No, a messaluna chopper would not be appropriate for this bowl. It would leave a scar on the wood. I'd keep all knives away from this bowl because the wood is so beautiful.

Wooden bowls are a personal favorite of mine. I was impressed by the options and chose this design for my family's requirements. All I do to keep it in good shape is oil it every now and then after giving it a good scrub with hot dish soap and water. I never let it get too wet, either. I always dry by hand and never put them in the dishwasher. It maintains its beauty and looks lovely on my dining table. There's a lot of salad in this container. I would strongly suggest it.
We were given a salad bowl with a base made of wood sections that had been glued together and sides made of wood sections. A solid, turned one-piece bowl was what we were looking for. The bowl needs to be oiled and is darkening as desired as a result of use. It was much bigger than expected. The bowl was well-packaged and arrived a day ahead of schedule. Only three stars because it was not as advertised and did not meet our expectations.

Wooden bowls of this size are usually quite expensive, but this one is a fantastic deal for the quality! The wood is lovely, and the stripes are nicely coordinated. It's beautiful to serve in and comfortable to hold. It's highly suggested!.
This is an outstanding bowl. It looks great, is the perfect medium size, and with a little olive oiling on the inside, it will last for a long time.
The bowl you receive will be completely different from the one shown. As previously stated, the image depicts a product that is significantly different and of higher quality than the one you will receive. Is it really worth $35? There's no way. Maybe if it looked exactly like the image. I'm not a picky shopper, but this is clearly a poorly made item.
